Again proving the value of Urban Meyer’s word, who, of course is the coach that not only retired and unretired in the same moon phase, but who also promised to only bring the top “1%’ of 1%” character guys to Gainesville, Gator receiver Chris Rainey was arrested for aggravated stalking, becoming Urban Meyer’s 30th (I’m pretty sure) arrested player since he took the job in 2005. According to police, Rainey told his “sometimes girlfriend” (I know what that means) via text message that it was “Time to Die” after being told to leave her house. Obviously aware of the mistake, Rainey then told her “wait until you see what happens when they leave” after the police arrived at the residence and called him from her phone. This has, not surprisingly, caught Urban Meyer off-guard because he was certain he had already run the only bad guy out of town.
Rainey’s availablity for the Kentucky game on Sept. 25 is unknown at the moment, but, if nothing else, this again proves the old Beisner axiom that the only acceptable thing to text a woman after midnight is a Ying Yang Twins lyric.
