It’s not a Sunday afternoon without a Randall Cobb highlight

(h/t SB Nation)

It’s becoming a trend every Sunday afternoon that we report a big-time play by former Kentucky Wildcat Randall Cobb. Today was no different. In fact, today might have been one of the biggest yet. With the Green Bay Packers trailing late in the game to the Detroit Lions, Aaron Rodgers dialed up a game-winning touchdown pass to Randall Cobb. The Packers were down 20-14 at the time and the touchdown and extra point solidified the win with some late game heroics. The catch was nothing short of amazing as Cobb had to maneuver himself between two defenders in the end zone.

Word on the street is that Cobb heard about Tyler Thompson’s promotion and this was his way of saying congratulations with his green eyes.

If I squint real hard I can see that as a UK jersey and cheer.

Green for GB, or blue for Cobb?

I can think of at least 3 games that UK lost from NOT utilizing Cobb during drives that probably result in TDs and wins, but no, (in their infinite wisdom) the coaching staff preferred to use Cobb as a “decoy.”

I hope Cobb’s agent convinces Green Bay to pony up more cash because he’s proven his worth. He’s making close to $500,000 LESS than even Jacob Tamme (who is worth his 2012 salary of $1M). Cobb deserves mo’ money!!!!

    6. Tamme’s been in the league for 5 or 6 years. That’s why he’s making more than Cobb. After the year Randall is having, he’s gonna get paid, trust me.

Can you imagine how badly we would have sucked if Cobb had been recruited by UT? I suspect no bowl games those three years.
