It’s never too early for Bracketology

It’s December 15th! Bracketology time!!!!

Joe Lunardi released his first edition of Bracketology today and the NCAA’s top forecaster put Kentucky in the Midwest against Weber State in a first round game in Louisville. The short drive to watch the game sounds nice but not as nice as who Kentucky could potentially play in the Elite 8 game. Yep, Louisville. According to Lunardi’s prediction — which means absolutely nothing at this point — Louisville would be the No. 2 seed in Kentucky’s region. How awesome would that be?

This guy is pumped about the Midwest Swing…

We’re not Duke. they committee of haters will likely have us playing 1,000 miles away as the #2 seed, even if we’re in the top 4 in the country.

Right. Means nothing at this point. We will lose to Florida, Alabama, Mississippi State, Georgia and Vanderbilt during the conference schedule and all bracketology will change. Nice to speculate though however meaningless it is.

Well, at least Terrence Jones can act like Morgan Newton in the first round and we’ll still win.

He should apologize to his teammates. I watched the game again last night. He should also apologize to the fans and his coach.

    5) you’ve got more courage than me to watch that game again. i deleted it immediately after it was over. jones will never change, otherwise he would have apologized to us all by now.

How’d you like that no call on Davis when he got all hand on the Zeller play under the basket…about 15:00 to go in the first. Or how about Kidd-Gilchrist taking that suitcase from the arc to the lane to tie it up at 12?
The I like to replay is Oladipo’s slam jam bam down the lane….that had to hurt, seeing a L’il Hoosier doing that to your big bad Kitty Kats.

let me add to my prior comment please. i am not hatin on jones, but at least from a public relations standpoint a sincere apology would have been appropriate and most of us would have forgiven him by now. you live, you learn though.

Mr Mr I’m not ‘hating’ on Jones. There comes a tim in a young mans life whwere he takes responsibility for his behavior and actions.

    We’ve heard nothing from him.

This fanbase cares too much about the ‘way you play the game’ to have one of our players not take responsibility for putting himself before the team.

What is he taking a page out of the John Hood public reations manual?

He doesn’t owe us anything. But he owes his team a big damn apology and a promise that even though he can’t go back & give Darius a senior win against IU, he can be a stand up guy and be a reliable part of the group (everyday).

First off. Loserville has to make it out of the first weekend let alone the first day. Second. Would u jack offs please shut up about Jones already. Most of u were all over Morgan Newton all year and did that make him better. NO. Maybe Jones didnt try. Maybe he had some personal issues. We may never know. But leave the KID, with emphasis on kid, alone. He will bounce back and IU may have won but I highly doubt Jones will let UL do the same thing.

Jones should apologize… not for anyone else. But for him. So he knows he can take responsibility and he knows he can be a man and not hide from mistakes.

#15 – bigbluecats – Jones is 19 and for most of us that’s not a kid. However, I don’t think age really matters when deciding if someone is a kid. Your what, in your 30’s?

Does Jones really owe us anything? I mean, we are fans, but are we obligated to anything? He should absolutely apologize to his teammates, who were counting on him, and for all we know he did, in private.

#17 – Lovely – “Does Jones really owe us anything?”

After a loss like that, being the quasi leader of the team, we expect an interview clip.

When they win we want to hear something and they gladly line up to the mics. Lamb and Miller both did the post game interview.

    1. He should speak about it (there’s plenty of journalists who would give a favorable interview).
    2. We don’t know what’s happened in private. BTW, this team isn’t a private team. It’s a public team. It’s the Commonwealth’s team.

Want to have some privacy about your personal life, I’m all for it. Did he have a personal issue and doesn’t want to talk about it, then just say that (we’ll accept it). But when you play the game in that uniform be willing to face an interview win or lose. That’s not asking too much.

    We give a shit!

Don’t be surprised if Kentucky is sent to Nashville. Here is why…

3/15 sites – Alb NM, Pittsburg PA, Portland OR, Louisville KY
3/16 sites – Columbus OH, Greensboro NC, Nashville TN, Omaha NB

Two things to keep an eye on. OSU will not head west or to Pittsburg (too small). In the past, the NCAA has not have a team play on the same day that their city is hosting. UL and OSU swap sites and UK to Nashville… now that is Bracketology my friends! You heard it here first!
