I’m trying to settle a workplace argument. Has the rule changed that allows players to return who do not use an agent after declaring for the NBA? I know none of the five can return now that they have been on the autographing tours but hypothetically, if Teague never signed an autograph would he be eligible to return since he does not have an agent?

Spring Football turnout= Weather,Thunder,Keeneland,numerous authograph sessions around the state all had an affect.
Matt-Don’t forget UK Men’s Tennis. Went undefeated in SEC and won regular season. Lost in finals for SEC tourney this weekend to UGA in close match(after beating UGA a few weeks ago). UK is #6 right now and will have very high seed.
Toy Story was at Rupp and the Henry Clay was at the Hyatt where I’m assuming Noel was staying. Those pictures were all in the Hyatt lobby, so it’s not like he was actually attending these events.
Jerry Tipton is reporting via his MySpace page that Anthony Davis will commit to Kentucky next week.

20 – The negativity is disappointing, but it is justified. Fans want a winning program but the administration doesn’t. Until a real college football coach is hired and until a commitment is made to upgrading the facilities, the program will not progress. This is not a criticism of the current players, it is just a statement of fact.
The baseball tournament is a 64 team tournament. 16 4 team regions that is double elimination. The 16 winners play in 8 super regionals which is a best 2 of 3 series according to seeds. The CWS is played in TD Ameritrade Park now as of 2011, instead of Rosenblatt. Te CWS is split into 2 4 team brackets which is double elimination. the 2 bracket winners play a best 2 of 3 for the championship. One of my favorite sporting events of the year.

I was at the spring game and was actually surprised at the attendance of the game. I figured it would have been a lot lower than it really was. It was cold and crappy.
Matt- Grew up with the Braves in the 80’s on TBS. Chief Nokahoma, Brett Butler, Claudell Washington, Glenn Hubbard, Bob Horner, Bruce Bendict(now basketball official) Raphael Ramirez. I could go on and on. Still love them.

It was seat cushion night, with about 9,000 in attendance the most memorable part of the night was the drunks fighting with the seat cushions like some sort of pillow fight! 80’s Braves Classic!

If you want an autograph from one of these guys, wait until next year and then you can get one for MUCH cheaper than you can right now. Prices are inflated because they just one the title and the places bringing these guys in know there’s a big demand for these autographs. Wait until they are role players in the NBA and you can get one for $20 or less.
Maquis & Doron are touring around together. Yesterday they were at Cardboard Heroes in St. Matthews & then went up to Florence Mall together. They’ll be back at St. Matthews Mall on the 30th.
Marquis and Lamb are together – signing autographs – at least at the Cardboard Heroes at the Mall St. Matthews. I was there yesterday for their autographs and Miller’s. Going tonight for Jones and tomorrow for MKG. I am personally just glad that they are touring around and giving autographs. If you don’t want to pay the money, don’t do it. Simple. The most pricey autograph I have paid for are $50 each for MKG and Davis. I don’t know if the prices are different at other locations. I typically wouldn’t pay for autographs, but I was at the Baylor game, had a great seat and took a lot of really good pictures. I am having the players sign pictures I actually took. That makes it worth it to me. This was a special year and I feel fine with giving the players this money (though I know the locations are taking a cut). The players don’t have to do this at all. That said, I do remember getting Farmer, Feldhaus, Woods, and Pelphrey’s autographs, possibly for free – might have been $10 bucks total – back in the day. But these guys weren’t all going to the NBA.

Doing some research on the College World Series. They no longer play at Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium, they now play at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha. Also they signed a 25 year lease to play there. 25 years!

I’m going to take a guess on the “guy who won’t be a first rounder” and say it will be Doron Lamb. Guys like him are a dime a dozen in the NBA, good shooters who aren’t very big and aren’t great defenders. The NBA chews up and spits those guys out every year. Don’t get me wrong there’s a spot for him in the league, but not as a first rounder.

John Hood is 6’7″ and is a very good ball handler. He has not proven that he can be a consistent scorer, but I am confident he will get that opportunity. Personally, I think he will get significant playing time next year.

Matt, your thinking about UK and the Reds game is wrong. I live in Cincinnati but will not pay money to see the Reds in bad weather. I don’t care if UK will be there or not. Tons of UC, X, and OSU fans locally, as well as UK fans on both sides of the river. But for you to say UK fans should go to the game is the same as the Trophy tour coming to Florence is NOT the same. The tour was free and didn’t take all night, like a baseball game does. Not the same thing. Stop saying it is, please.-

I do NOT want Mark Lyons. Xavier was incredibly talented last year and there was a ton of chemistry issues on that team. Lyons has had multiple off and on court issues while at Xavier. His leadership and attitude on the floor has been bad in addition to his role in the Cincy brawl. I believe he’s had some issues off the floor as well. The line in E-town Friday night for Davis was insane! It was literally out-the-door to get a ticket and purchase merchandise or pay for his autograph. To Davis’ credit, he stayed late to sign for all of BBN who showed-up to attend the event. I would estimate 1200-1500 fans in attendance which surpassed any previous events (Cousins, Meeks, Patterson).
It makes perfect sense that Davis is on the team for the Olympics in London. Half of England’s population has a unibrow.
Terrance Jones came to Russell Springs pharmacy yesterday. Was scheduled to be there from 1-2. TJ stayed several minutes past his scheduled time to accomedate a few more autographs. It was great seeing Terrance. My kids and I enjoyed the experience and something that we will remember for years to come.

Mark Lyons has already graduated college, and isn’t a bad guy, he just has some “edge” and “toughness.” UK needs a guy like that, nice guys are awesome (MKG, P-Pat, Knight), but it is nice to have a guy with some attitude, think Magloire. Xavier didn’t start the fight, and Lyons was just coming in defending a teammate, I like that.

Exactly. I don’t mind sharing the Reds with Louisville, IU, UC, Xavier and Ohio State fans but this arrogant attitude that no Kentuckians support the Reds. We buy paraphernalia and tickets. Cincy is a small market team. UK fans/Kentuckians help keep that franchise alive.
People it’s not the Reds that are in an uproar about UK being there. They invited the team and are honoring them. It’s the idiot fans of UC, UD, the Ohio St, and everybody else that is up in arms about it. Lets not turn this into a backlash against the reds.
Keep in mind that UK fans are in the minority in Cincinnati. In Louisville you boast 50-50 with card fans. In Cincinnati, you have IU, Louisville, UK, Xavier, UC and OSU. 5 out of 6 are not fans of UK so booing can be expected.

Correction. The fall that killed the stunt man in the movie “Steel” was an attempt to break a world record several stories up from where they filmed the fall that was used in the movie. So the fall in the movie is not the one that killed him.
