It’s Been A Tough Couple Months For LeBron

A summer that he had been pointing to for the past, I dunno, a million years, hasn’t gotten off to the best of starts for King James.  First he was embarrassed out of the NBA playoffs by a team he thought he had grown past, then his bff decided he wanted to stay at Kentucky and he’s facing becoming a Trojan, and finally James got schooled by a bus boy from West LA. If it’s not one thing, it’s another.

On his late night show, Jimmy Kimmel pitted the NBA Most Valuable Player up against Ricardo Reyes, MVP of the busboy staff at Barney’s Beanery.  Granted, the two were playing pop-a-shot, something James might have had a chance to improve upon if he had gone to college, but Reyes absolutely smoked him.  After Lebron limped to 42 points in 30 seconds, Reyes managed to one up him to the tone of 72 points, and that might have been taking it easy as he dropped 85 on Barkley a couple days later.  LeBron seemed stunned at first, but decided it’s better to be in on the joke than at the butt end of it, and ultimately gave Ricardo his props.  Check out the video below.

If any Knicks executives were watching, expect Ricardo to find a job in Cleveland to try and scare James to New York.  If that fails, expect the 41 year old bus boy to pick up a contract with the Knicks at the starting two spot.
