Kentucky Sports Radio

University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

It’s almost time…

(via @stephhammon)

Marcus Lee will announce his decision as soon as the ESPN camera crew shows up. ESPN wants to be there to film the announcement for next week’s All-Access Kentucky.

There won’t be any live video coverage, unfortunately.

Stay tuned…

This is not even in question. The kid was down to 2 schools. He took a visit to one then almost immediately canceled his visit to the other school. He’s waiting until ESPN/UK coverage can flim his announcement… its already done. He committed to UK we just haven’t gotten word yet.

We are also getting the steal of the class in my opinion.

17 – Since this is for the All Access show, I would say it is because of the show… Not really the “Kentucky Effect”. If they were not filming the show, then we would just hear about the announcement. Although, one can argue that ESPN asked UK to do the show because of the “Kentucky Effect”

    33) I don’t think he’s coming regardless. I’m thinking he goes to Kansas. He’s an unbelievable athlete… will be a great NBA wing, but I don’t think it hurts us. He’s not as polished as Young who will probably play the 3 for us instead, he’s just the best athlete in the class but we’ll be fine without him.

We may get Roberson as our back up 3 for next year. Still behind a little on that one, but he’d be a perfect fit for Cal. He’s like a less polished MKG

All you posters saying you are not impressed with Marcus Lee and that he is only a 4 star recruit needs to STFU and/or GTFO! When you get paid millions of dollars to recruit and evaluate talent then maybe someone will give a bakers f&ck about what your opinion is. Until then, trust in Cal and know that Kentucky will always be bigger than any of you worthless peanut gallery patrons.

WCS was ranked 33 and we see how Cal praises him. People really need to shut the hell up. Remember just a few years ago we would have been beggin for this kid to come here. You have to have players like this guy or the program won’t work. You can’t have a team of nothin but freshmen every year.

36 – I was joking lol… I am from L.A. and have seen him play a lot. Kentucky is getting a steal. THis dudes shooting ability is under valued. He kinda doesnt have a single person that he plays like but I would say he is like a 6’9/6’10 Tayshaun Prince… not quite as good of shooter but quicker, better handles and stronger.

#53 Turner Burner, AND 1. I am fine and dandy fella. No worries, I just get a little geeked out sometimes, when people constatnly doubt every recruit we look at or offer or get a committment from. I wish Matty and Drew’s beard would block more idiots from these boards…Especially the token Loserville trolls who try and pose as legit Cat fans. Oh well, Cal will keep doing work and the Cats will continue to steam roll college basketball.

THis dude i would say is the hottest kid in this class… he is very Alex Poythress like… he is liable to win up being top 7 or 8 in the class when the season is done. Athleticism that is OUT OF THIS WORLD!

  65. J A Brooks
    4:29 pm October 17, 2012 Permalink

    60) Like I said, a lot of UK fans only look at the top 10 kids that KSR talk about all year and thus they have no clue about the other 90 kids in the top 100.

He’s gonna be a huge part of the rotation next year and a star in year 2. He’s a little raw on the offensive side of the ball but he’s great in transition and he’s a defensive monster. He’ll catch 100 oops next year.

    69) No they are not. Scout may be better in regards to the top 5 or top 10 order but across the board they are terrible. They never update the kids that are 20-100. It takes them a year to update their rankings

#69 Scout used to have a legitimate recruiting expert in Dave Telep, since he has moved over to the dark side (ESPN), Scout has lost pretty much all of its credibility. Rivals has always been a little different than the rest of the services available.
