Kentucky Sports Radio

University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

It’s a packed studio for the KSR Dating Game (Wednesday Show Thread)

It’s a special day for Kentucky Sports Radio radio and not just because Ryan and I will both be on the show with Matt for the first time as a team. No, it’s special because we’ll pair up the couples for the first ever KSR Dating Game.

Joining us in studio for the second hour will be two smart, attractive women who are ready to pick their men for a courtside date in Rupp Arena. We don’t know what to expect or how it will go, but our hope is that they find love while watching the Cats in the Blue and White game.

And, as always, you can give us a call at (502) 571-1080.

First hour topics include:

— Previewing the Blue/White game

— Missouri’s AD likes strippers

— A new member of the basketball team

— Nose whistling

Heard on the show yesterday, Matt talking about the negativity. I want to give a shout out to all the “friends” I have made through the show thread and twitter. Some of you know, my dad passed away on Sunday. The show and the show thread got me through some tough times the last six months. It was a needed distraction from worrying about my dad. God Bless all of you and remember that BBN and KSR are family.

At the start of his college career, the then 6 ft 1 in (1.85 m) Pippen was a walk-on for the NAIA school and depended on his stipend for being the team manager and his summer job as a welder to fund his education.[1] In those four years, however, Pippen grew to a height of 6 ft 7 in (2.01 m).[citation needed] He eventually reached 6 ft 8 in (2.03 m)[2]) and improved enough by his senior year to be considered a viable NBA prospect

On the men vs. the women topic it really just depends on the matchups of the game. If the women have three really skilled and athletic girls, but have two girls with big knee braces on and are really slow, then the guys can really take advantage of that. 109 – I was watching one of the women’s games on tv during A’dia’s freshman year when she made a move in the paint that was amazing. The tv showed John Wall watching and the expression on his face was priceless. He basically went WHOA, NO WAY. In fact, her move reminded me of one of his moves to the basket.

    97. Ah, good point. This was… 2008? I think? the 08-09 team. That was a good team but we definitely are better now. The guys on the practice team thought we could beat UK’s men’s walkons, but that’s crazy talk. Adam Delph ended up transferring and dominating at Asbury, didn’t he? I don’t think Adia could have beaten him (but that’s a different question and again, never played with either of them)

It’s the physical differences that really makes it hard for good women to beat good men. Sort of unfair, but that’s how scrubs can be effective practice players for women’s collegiate teams.

Brady and Moss were better all around players than Mills, but unless you are limited in talent (as Tubby was), they don’t add much because they do nothing great. Mills could come off the bench and bust a zone and give you quick 9 points on 3 3’s. If this UK team could take one player, it would want Mills so we knew we had someone that could shoot when we played WVU and its 1-3-1 zone. If Cal’s first team had a Mills, he might have 2 NC’s.

On that show Louisville fans were crying about why he wanted to keep talking about UK’s football coach instead of the undefeated Louisville team. Gupton really did a good job of stating a case about why even a undefeated Louisville team is a less interesting topic than UK needing a new coach. He discussed the Cards’ terribly weak schedule and how it just doesn’t matter whatsoever that they are winning these games because they are playing absolutely no team of any significance. He also discussed how the Big East is such a joke and that Louisville seems to be stuck in a conference for the foreseeable future.
