Folks, if you didnt watch the Texas-Texas Tech game LIVE, you missed what I am fairly sure will be the best college football game this year. It now adds to one of my short list of events that made me jump off the couch. And I am happy because Tech DESERVED to win this game, dominating it for 3 quarters. Michael Crabtree is the best college reciever since Larry Fitzgerald and probably better than him.
And now, we may see a former UK assistant on the verge of a BCS Title Game spot. You can already see this year being a mess for the BCS. You could honestly have this situation:
-Undefeated Penn St.
-1-loss USC (having lost sooner than anyone)
-1-loss Florida as SEC champ, beating Alabama in the title game
-1-loss Oklahoma (after beating Texas Tech and then Missouri in the Big 12 title game)
-1-loss Texas (who beat Oklahoma but dont play in the Big 12 title game)
-Undefated Boise St.
-Undefeated Ball St.
So, which two teams do you put in? And for that matter, which 10 teams get the BCS spots? If you are starving for a playoff, this might be the year to really push it. And if you are the BCS commitee, you are praying for Penn St. and Alabama or Texas Tech to run the table, just not all 3. My guess is the Big 12 teams will all beat one another, and Alabama slips up and then all hell breaks loose, and we still have a Big 10 team in the title game.
And finally tonight, Syracuse 28, Louisville 21. Suck on that Craig!
