Is This Tennessee’s New Helmet For Saturday’s Game vs Florida?

That is the rumor around Vol-land. No one will confirm, but it is very space age and a little bit “Mad Max” in its design. I must say however that I prefer it to the “puke inside of a pumpkin orange” that they normally go with. It is almost like Bill Laimbeer Combat Football.

Why is it every other football program has great marketing move after great marketing move and OUR football program just introduced black uniforms a decade after everyone else?

Defense and Marketing… 2 things our program doesn’t have.

I guess Kentucky will be introducing today’s marketing gimmicks in 2022?

This is from an eBay item. Not made by the right company, etc, etc. This isn’t even in the realm of possibility, thankfully. Orange forever. Go Vols, etc.

I do like the look of this helmet much better than that nasty orange, but the best part about this post is the “Bill Laimbeer Combat Basketball” reference. That is a reference that not many people can appreciate.

Looks fake and I think Dooley or the AD already shot it down. Could be wrong but I think this is BS

Bill Laimbeer Combat Football? Ha, the original game is over 20 years old (was fun at the time), wonder how many get that reference…

Looks great, it would be nice to get a similar style at UK. Always liked the matte finishes on helmets. I would like to see an upgrade to the helmets, might help us win another game…Just make sure we debut them in a game that we have a chance to win! We need a bada** look….

Real or fake, I like the look of the matte finish. I think it would look good with a UK blue matte helmet and big white K like the old helmets had.
