University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Is Kentucky on the verge of their 1st Mark Stoops Era commitment?

Earlier this weekend we heard that Jeremy Jarmon was giving the WCW wrestler “Sting” a tour of the UK football facilities. The reason? His son is a JUCO Tight End on the wish list of Mark Stoops and his Kentucky staff.

Steven Borden is a JUCO Tight End from the state of Texas (Kilgore Community College), who plans to announce his college decision on Wednesday. According to the Courier Journal’s Steve Jones, Borden said the Wildcats are #1 on his list. Borden enjoyed his visit to Lexington this weekend, and told C-J that he thought about committing while on his visit. Borden was a major target for Neal Brown while he was still coaching at Texas Tech. In fact, Borden took an official visit to Texas Tech earlier in the year.

Somewhere Enes Kanter is a little giddy about the thought of a professional wrestler’s son coming to Kentucky. Enjoy the music in the video below. If it doesn’t get you pumped up, I don’t know what will…

He must have been severely underused at Kilgore CC in Texas. His combine numbers are sick. 6’3″ 245. 9’10” broad jump, 35.5 verticle, 4.63 40 and 20 reps at 225. Pretty hellacious athlete.

If UK lands this recruit would it be appropriate for fans to show up at commonwealth with the Sting face paint? Substituting blue for the black of course

How do you watch that highlight video and not realize it’s a QB, especially after noting in your post that he is a TE??

Some you all will biotch about anything. He played QB in HS, then went onto to juco to play as a TE. The video is of him in HS. My guess is that it is hard to find game film of his juco career. Quit being stupid, you are making all UK fans look bad.

You guys do know that I — and not Ted Turner — am the one who has signed Steve Borden’s paychecks for the past 6+ years, right?!?!

I hope he paints up like his old man. That would kick ass.

The best athletes on alot of HS teams end up mostly playing QB. Just the way it is.

Cant tell if he’s got hands from this video but you gotta love the physicality, especially the play he blocks two guys to the ground. Kentucky football: A New World Order?

At first I didn’t think it was the same kid either but I think this confirms that it is him.

One tough kid. Love the way he blocked and laid the wood on tackles. His numbers would indicate that he is a heck of an athlete. Good sped, something that the current group of TEs don’t have. Looks like a good pick up if he comes.
