ICYMI: Best of KSR College

In this very important space below the picture, I would like to give a special shoutout to The Pony, the UK bar in Chicago. I went there with the intention of live blogging on my computer, but apparently Macs and The Pony’s wireless don’t mix, so the manager let me borrow one of the bar’s laptops and live blog from a booth while drinking 312 and watching the game on a huge projector. If that’s not living the dream, I don’t know what is. If you’re ever in Chicago, stop in and say hi- it’s a friendly place with John Wall shots and a 14-inch grilled cheese. My little piece of heaven.

-Brennan English, with an account of the super cool halftime show yesterday. It equaled the Firecrackers, from what I understand.

-John Burke, with an update of where the current Cats stand now in terms of overall statistic categories.

Twany Beckham used to play for Mississippi State. Remember that? So does Austin Monnett.

-JC Ausmus is back with the KSRCollege Jorts Award, and it’s an unusual one.

-Derek Johnson, with a recap of yesterday’s baseball game against EKU.

I have a question about a call in last nights game. In the first half, about 4:30 in first half Jon Hood was called for a foul. Jalen Steel was hanging on the rim when the ball was still in the cylinder. The two points where disallowed and the player fouled took two shots at the line. I am nor sure why he was given two shots if the basket was waved off for basket interference. Should it not have been one shot?

That’s a good question I didn’t even think about that. Not sure what the ruling is on that but would have to guess that it was the right call all things considered.
