ICYMI: Best of KSR College

It’s National Hangover Day, the day after Super Bowl Sunday. I’m still aflutter from Beyonce’ halftime performance and her following announcement of her North America tour dates, and that’s been enough to get me through today. Nurse your hangover with some KSR College posts from the weekend.

-Baseball Media Day was today, and Nick Jourdan and Dean Bowling represented KSR College at the day’s events. Check out Nick’s recap of Baseball Media Day to hear the highlights and what we can expect from the talent-loaded Cats this season.

-Erik Jarboe took a trip up to Chicago this weekend for his birthday (happy belated!), and happened to meet me at The Pony, the official UK bar in Chicago, for the Texas A&M game. Erik’s Notes on a Bar Napkin recap the A&M game nicely and prove without a doubt that I’m a real person, not a catfish.

-Unfortunately, the women’s basketball team suffered their first home loss since Hayley and Wilder have been attending games on press row- meaning, over a year. Hayley has the low-down on the painful home loss to Georgia.

-Andrew McCarthy wins Intern of the Week for using a picture of Beyonce in Monday’s Basketball News. That’s all.

-The Cats have been a little less successful than we expected this season, and with that unfulfilled potential comes the question- who of our fab freshmen will return for a sophomore season? Will Totten writes about which two Wildcats he thinks have the greatest chance at coming back next season.

Beyonce’ was horrible! How could you possibly look forward to that? I don’t understand what passes for talent these days. If she would just stand up there and sing instead of all that silly “boy band” synchronized dancing, she may seem more like a professional… If I ever walk in on someone dancing in front of a mirror, I swear to god, I will slap the sissy out of them! And I’ll say it to their face

Now I see why she faked the National Anthem. What I though was funny is the burning guitar solo and I didn’t even hear a guitar. Music today sucks. What happened to the great music with all the great bands? Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, The Who, Queen, Boston, Doobie Brothers, AC/DC, Lynard Skynard, Almond Brothers,Neil Young, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Elton John, CCR,Stepenwolf,Jethro Tull, The Doors…….WTF happened?
