ICMYI: KSR College Weekend Posts

Brought to you by Kathie Lee and Hoda, who hosted their “Going Back to College” show at University of Tennessee this morning. Luckily, KLG and Hoda are too classy to butt chug boxed wine at their faux-tailgate; instead, they brought their own bedazzled tubes and a vintage Chardonnay (ba-dum chhh).

Speaking of tailgating, we had lots of KSR College writers on the prowl around Commonwealth this weekend. David Mulloy posted a side by side comparison of tailgating pre- and post-ban, while Wilder Treadway focused on the ghost town that was this weekend’s “tailgate.” Wilder was full of salt, and his smart ass comments make this a post worth reading.

For those of you who are still ruminating on the loss to South Carolina, Austin Greenwell recapped it in “A Tale of Two Halves” and expanded on why we should be optimistic about Jalen Whitlow’s development this season.

Continuing the football conversation, Andrew McCarthy dug through his vault of old sports writing to find a piece he’d written about Bobby Petrino “blowing a once in a lifetime opportunity” with his scandal at Arkansas. Andrew rethinks his original stance, noting that Petrino’s name is popping up for different head coaching vacancies across the country.

It’s officially basketball time, guys! Keep up with our Countdown to BBM here (11 days!) and take another look at the picture I know I can’t get enough of.

I have not been cleared by the NCAA yet. But people like Matt Jones won’t ask me or Cal anything about it.

No more football posts until Joker is fired. You are embarrassing your site, just like Barnhart is embarrassing UK. It is basketball time. The football season is over – going 2-10.

Eli Capilouto was embedded in controversy during his time as Provost at UAB. UK fans have only seen the “tip of the iceberg” so to speak as to what he will do to damage UK and its image long term according to our legal experiences at UAB. Your attendance and tailgating issues are just the beginning. Check out some more damaging information by using Google to look up “Legal Schnauzer”, and see what this site reports about fraudulent activity occurring through the UAB Provost office to the tune of more than $600 million dollars during his leadership. Also, the university spent large sums of money to pay for a prominent Washington, D.C. law firm to negotiate a multi-million dollar settlement. The university finally settled with the Department of Justice during the Bush Administration due to criminal activity regarding federal grants and medical billing fraud under Capilouto’s watch. There is much more negative information to this man than the good folks of Kentucky were ever provided. Finally, research the lawsuits regarding faculty and administrators against him currently in the Birmingham, Alabama court system. We are certainly appreciative to the University of Kentucky for taking this major problem away from UAB! South Birmingham has hope now that we had not experienced in several years.

This seems to fit the UK Administration from the top down these days.
