Kentucky Sports Radio

University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

I dare you to make it through this video without smiling (or crying)

By now, you’ve heard how Nerlens Noel brought 7-year-old leukemia patient Kelly Melton with him to the Derby. The heartwarming story is making the rounds in the national media this afternoon, along with the pictures that we’ve posted on the site over the past few days. Enjoy this video of the two on the red carpet, courtesy of the Courier-Journal.

Is it a little dusty in here or is it just me?

This is KY we don’t need the little girl w/ the sign we know who he is! Class has become the expectation for Nerlens, which is an unusual thing for a young man of his years.

I shared this on facebook. Athletes have such a huge impact on kids and also the community. There’s so many more athletes that should look at what Nerlens is doing and mimic!

but these guys are all thugs, don’t go to class, don’t care about anything other than getting rich, etc. right? i have a 7 year old boy myself. this is so awesome of nerlens to do, and you can tell he isn’t just doing it to help his image. he genuinely cares and connects with people out of the kindness of his heart. he’s a genuine, sincere dude and i’m going to miss him.

Where is Archie Goodwin and all of his charity? Oh wait, he has none. He’s a selfish stuck up kid. I’m so proud of Nerlens and wish other players were like him.

You are one hell of a young man Mr. Noel. You might not realize it but you gave that little fella the best day of his life I am sure. Good on ya sir! I wish all young men had your attitude and generosity!

I wish I was as charitable at Nerlens. He really is an awesome guy.

TT, you’re awesome. Roland probably is compensating for where he lacks in other areas.

What an inspiration.Children adore him, and he is going to be sorely missed. My alltime favorite Cat, and I know he has to go, but I’ve never seen a player care and do so much for children. I just wish he could stay one more year some how.

Roland, congratulations on becoming the biggest POS on this site. Go troll some other site since you seem to hate this one so bad. You’re the only one hiding behind your computer. I feel safe to say you are quite the piece of chicken sh*t in real life. You’re crabby and pathetic and quite honestly needs your ass beat! You put down Tyler every day, a woman none the less. Real tough man LOL
