For all you Debbie Downers out there, here is a post where you can yearn for yesteryear!
After Kentucky lost to Mississippi State on Tuesday night, they found themselves on a three-game losing streak and a two-game slide at home which left a lot of us shaking our heads in frustration. But, as a new day rose on Wednesday and as the LOIs started pumping into Coach Brooks, we all did our best to think positively and make the best of the day. I avoided the message boards and had a delicious Chick-fil-A breakfast to make sure that Mississippi State didn’t ruin my day. Evan planted flowers. Turkey Hunter quit the website. The power of positive thinking really made a difference.
However, I’m sorry if reading the comics was part of your Wednesday cheer-me-up routine because, well, you probably didn’t find the happy kickstart to your day that you needed.
The people at Ripley’s (and you too John Carpenter in Firebrick, Ky!!!) showed the compassion of the BTK Killer by running the above comic Wednesday morning, reminding the world that Kentucky had once won 129 straight games at home and daring you to……believe it or not! Not only that, but they made the Cats share the page with, arguably, the worst “Believe it or not” of all-time. Is there anything less interesting than a methed out version of Mark Wahlberg in Invincible giving away free art? As much as it makes my stomach turn, I’d rather wake up in the morning and see this for the millionth time. Show some respect, Ripley’s! Your bias is starting to show and I don’t want to turn the entire UK nation loose on you.
Sorry. Now that we’ve got that out of the way, could someone please tell me what happens if an astronaut cries in space? I don’t feel like opening the comics today.
