Have The Texas Legends Found Their Coach?

The Kentucky Legends may have finally ended up with Joe B. Hall as their coach and, according to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the Texas Legends could be moving in on theirs.  The official minor league basketball team of your world champion Dallas Mavericks is reportedly pushing hard to make former Tennessee coach Bruce Pearl their next head woman man.  As I’m sure all of you die hard D-League fans remember, the Legends were coached last year by women’s basketball legend Nancy Lieberman, meaning Pearl would go from the shadow of Pat Summitt to filling the sizable pumps of Nancy Lieberman.  Nice.

If the roster remains the same, which it most certainly won’t, Pearl would have former #4 overall pick Antonio Daniels, West Virginia bust Joe Alexander, former UNC nut job Rashad McCants and resident pothead Sean Williams at his disposal.  Unless Alimony’s puts out a classified ad for a spray tan artist, I can think of no better fit.  Best of luck, Coach Pearl.  The BBQ in Texas is wonderful.

Anyone in Louisville tonight, please come by Seneca High School and watch my son’d tean “East End Warriors” take on Deion Sanders “The T.R.U.T.H.” squad. He is on his way thru to the Hall of Fame ceremonies in Canton this weekend, and is traveling with ESPN and his 10-11 yr. old AAU team. It’s a chance of a lifetime for my boys, and we will need all the support we can get!

No way he’s even considering that job, right? Like most of you, I dislike the guy but come on, he was a pretty well known/liked/popular coach (I can’t bring myself to say “good”). He’ll be picked up at a major school soon. Maybe not so much if he takes the Legends job.

Aside – No way that pic is photoshopped, right?
