Hartline the leader? Joker says “Not so fast…”

Apparently confronted with the message board speculation created by his comments Monday, UK offensive coordinator Joker Phillips took a little time today to clarify his statements to the 67% approved Chip Crosby.

“From what I’ve been hearing, Mike has been doing well, but we’re not going to pick a starter based on reports from players,“ Phillips said. ”We’ve got to get through fall camp. There’s still a long way to go.”

This is also translated to “The way I see it Shooter, we’ve only just begun”.  In case you’re keeping track at home, there are 61 days until the Louisville game.  Go Cats.
