Harrison Twins Think Different from their Father

In non-football news, Adam Zagoria is reporting that a Division-1 source close to the situation has told SNY.tv that the Harrison Twins have a much different opinion on where they should attend college than their father.  According to the source the twins are set on attending college in Lexington, while their father wants them to play ball with Mark Turgeon at Maryland.  The source was quoted as saying to Zagoria, “The dad’s from there. He and [Maryland coach] Mark Turgeon have known each other a long time since Mark’s days at Texas A&M. But the boys want to go to Kentucky.”  He further elaborated, “I think the boys will win out. If they can be first, if nobody will commit to Kentucky first, I think the boys will go to Kentucky. The dad favors his hometown.” The entirety of the article can be found here.

I know you want to respect your parents and all, but daddy needs to realize that these two will be way bigger at UK than at Maryland. Just because he’s an alum is not a good reason to go to Maryland.

If the twins want to win a National Championship and get prepared for the NBA they will choose UK. Maryland is a nice school but will not win it in the next few years.

How much does his dads job with under armour influence the boys’ decision? I could never put my wants and desires before my kids when it comes to their future. How many kids has turgeron put into the league??

Little worried. Parents usually win out.

The dad doesn’t work for UA their AAU team is sponsored by UA. This is extremely old news the dad has wanted them to go to Maryland from day 1, but he said back in July that he is leaving it totally up to them. Don’t worry about anything we will get them there is no doubt at all. Why do you think Cal is trying to get 2 games played in Texas that year?

This is the same situation with Shabazz. Parents and sponsorships wanted him to go one way, he probably wanted to go another. Hopefully the boys pick well.

Pretty poorly written summary. And the title: “Harrison Twins Think Different from their Father.” Think different? You mean think differently? I’ve seen a few talented young writers out there writing about UK. Why can’t KSR get any of them to contribute?

When ever some recruits are dealing with a situation like this, its a win-win for Kentucky. If they come to Lex, yeah!!!! If not, they go somewhere where they will make some noise but ultimately be irrelevant. UK takes the next best thing and keeps trucking…either way, UK is GOOD.

Damnnation, I am sick and effing tired of these parents trying to live through their kids. Let them them go wherever in the hell they want, you stupid ass. Did you not see the top 2 picks in the NBA draft were from Kentucky, daddy Harrison? Geez, if these poor kids kids have this dumbass for a dad, maybe we don’t want them. Go to Maryland and suck. Wait 2-3 years before going pro. Just ask C.J. Leslie how that not picking UK thing worked out.

Sounds like the kids know what’s best for their future more than their pops does. Maryland over UK would be an epic horrendous decision.

A bunch of pathetic ppl on here. If they pick somewhere else…cue the “We didn’t want them anyway” and go bash them. I hope they do go to Maryland so I can laugh just as hard as i do at the football team!
