Grantland’s Breakdown of Anthony Davis is Intense

NBA blogger Sebastian Pruiti has an in-depth look at the pros and cons of Anthony Davis’ game over at Grantland.com. Using game film from the St. John’s and North Carolina games, Pruiti dissects the way Anthony Davis approaches rebounding on each side of the court. What Pruiti’s research and analysis tells us is that Anthony Davis is a stronger offensive rebounder than defensive — but you knew that already. If you don’t know why that’s the case though, Grantland.com can explain it to you with fancy graphics.

Rebounding is all about technique and players shouldn’t use the same approach on each end of the court. This Grantland piece does a great job of catching Anthony Davis in the act on each end and explaining what he’s doing right and wrong.

Go check it out and Go Cats.

Can we share this with Davis himself?

Sure technique is part of it but at the college level its often more about effort and motivation to beat your man to the ball. Davis excels in that area almost as much as Boogie did. He’ll be fine.

I call BS. We don’t need some blogger’s fancy analysis to explain this. It’s the power of the brow. Nuff said.

I’m going to need someone to summarize everything after the third paragraph.

    Thanks.
