Grading Final Four Teams on Famous Tweeters

This weekend is the Final Four in college basketball, which means everything we thought we knew is out the window. It’s a new, two-game season; seedings and rankings and regular season stats no longer matter.
What does matter? Twitter. Twitter always matters, and don’t let your friends tell you otherwise. If you had to pick a team to root for based off of it’s (semi-) famous alumni tweets, which would you pick?
Louisville
If U of L Men’s & Women’s 🀠win National Titles I’m coming to Louisville & tattooing a Cardinal on my Left ass cheek! Real Talk!
– Christopher Boykin (@BigBlack) April 3, 2013
Louisville got a fan seemingly out of nowhere a while ago when Christopher “Big Black” Boykin expressed his love for all things Cardinal, while simultaneously talking down to all Kentucky fans. While I appreciate the irony in that, it’s best to let his Tweets do the snack-talking. I mean, “smack” talking. Actually, no, I liked it better the first way.
Syracuse
Go OrangeMen!!! Send Hoosiers back home to Indie!!! #Syr93
– Lexington Steele (@LexSteele11) March 29, 2013
Hey, heads up: don’t Google Lexington Steele unless your safe search is on. The Syracuse alum was a stockbroker in New York until moving to Los Angeles to be a part of the, ahem, adult film industry. Based on his tweet, though, it’s safe to say he wanted to see Syracuse give the Hoosiers a good spanking. Plus his name is “Lexington,” so he’s got that going for him.
Wichita State
RT @cbssports: @pizzahut will give away free pizzas to Wichita State students if Shockers win the title: cbsprt.co/ShockersPizza
– Pizza Hut (@pizzahut) April 3, 2013
Apparently the guys who started Pizza Hut graduated from Wichita State University, which gives local Shockers’ fans extra incentives to hope they win: free pizza.
Michigan
…and in other news, GO BLUE! #UMich#FinalFour#NCAA
– LeVar Burton (@levarburton) April 6, 2013
Geordi LaForge Levar Burton was something of a childhood hero growing up. I would watch Reading Rainbow in the morning, and then see him again in Star Trek: The Next Generation later on in the same day with my dad. So I always got a double-dose of Mr. Burton. And it was always great. Now, he’s cheering on his Wolverines via Twitter, and doing it in a pretty classy way.
So which Final Four team has the best Twitter fans? My money’s on Michigan. But you don’t have to take my word for it.

Yes, don’t search Lexington Steele if you ever want to feel sexually adequate again.
This is Dakari Johnson’s teammate, Ben Simmons, who is a sophmore, and ranked 5th in the 2015 class. This kid is ridiculous.

Translation of BigBlack:
“I’ll only make a commitment to showing my pride in Louisville if they win a title. Otherwise, I have to keep my options open to another team I can be a fan of.”
