Gold jacket, green jacket…

It was a tough day for former Wildcat Steve Flesch at The Masters today as he finished with a six-over 78, easily his worst round of the week.  Flesch started out strong and had sole possession of second place after shooting an even par on the front nine, but came unraveled after a double bogey on hole number twelve.  Flesch went on to bogey the 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th holes to seal his fate and his fifth place finish.  It was still a heck of a fight this week for the lefty from Union but, in the end, he came up just short.

J.B. Holmes, who usually gets the most love in these Wildcat golf reports, finished up tied for 25th place in his first Masters, after finishing the tournament at +4, which was also his final round score.
