With the departure of Lones Seiber from the gridiron Cats, there came many questions concerning the placekicking duties for this year’s crew. Who would kick the field goals? What about the kickoffs, or even extra points? Will there ever be another excuse to use the picture of Seiber-girl? (Yes!) Actually those are pretty much all the questions. Still, answering them could be the biggest key to the Cats having a successful season. Or maybe it’s a medium-sized or smaller than average key, like one you would use for your mailbox. Still, it’s a key.
Luckily, the Cats were fortunate enough to pick up a freshman kicker who seems more than capable of quelling our fears of kicking purgatory. His name is Joe Mansour, and he can kick the ball. He can also answer some questions from Larry Vaught, which is what he did in this little interview session. He covers everything from how practice has gone so far to what kind of swagger he walks with. So take a minute and get to know Joe, and somebody work on finding Mansour-girl. The fate of the world depends on it.
