Because of Matt’s recommendation, and because I had a coupon, I tried the Egg White Delight today. It was pretty good. I thought the egg tasted really good. Matt have you figured out how to get to the Evansville Cici’s Pizza with your atlas? We need you to make a pit stop there on your trip West so we can get an epic picture of you and The Truth.

So who all went out last night at 11:58 and bought an Atlas? I have in my trunk of the car. Just in case.
I hope the iheartradio stream works today! I’ve suggested an alternate station.

Where did BTI go? Glad he is back but he still sucks.

Ok, I have a question for anyone who has an opinion… What is going on in LA? I mean USC used to be the “feared ones” in the Pete Carrol era that EVERY SEC TEAM STAYED AWAY FROM. I cant believe their AD is letting Lame Kitten run it into the ground. Then they hire Pendergast for their DC… a guy who has been fired at his last 3 jobs…. I thought their offense last year shouldve looked like the New England Patriots. And THEY are apparently going to still let him call plays…its mind-boggling to me. I used to love watching them play..now, not so much. I think after this year USC will either offer Kirby Smart a ton of money or Bill O’brien…but its a shame Lane Kiffin is ruining that program.

Crystal often is used as a generic term for any glassware that has a form more elegant than the glassware or jelly jars used every day. Nevertheless, it is not always an accurate label.

Maintaining standards: According to John Kennedy, head of technical services at Waterford in Waterford, Ireland, there are very specific guidelines for what constitutes real crystal. Kennedy notes the three primary criteria for crystal: a lead content in excess of 24 percent, a density in excess of 2.90 and a reflective index of 1.545. These specifications were established in 1969 by the European Union, the main trading block of 15 European countries. The United States, Kennedy says, never established its own criteria, but accepts the European standard for customs purposes.

Getting the lead out: According to Kennedy, the key ingredient in crystal is lead. Waterford crystal traditionally has a lead content of about 32 percent. Although some finer glassware may contain lead, anything below the 24 percent standard is not considered crystal. Common glassware contains about 50 percent silica (sand), but no lead.

A crystal or crystalline solid is a solid material whose constituent atoms, molecules, or ions are arranged in an ordered pattern extending in all three spatial dimensions. In addition to their microscopic structure, large crystals are usually identifiable by their macroscopic geometrical shape, consisting of flat faces with specific, characteristic orientations

What makes crystal so expensive? Raw materials and various production methods come together to make crystal an expensive and time consuming product to manufacture. Crystal is a product, which is produced…

Crystal is a product, which is produced by various materials including silica sand, pot ash and litharge, which is basically melted down in a furnace and then manipulated or blown into different shapes. Really, the reason that crystal is expensive is the amount of time and also personal crafting and experience needed to produce an individual piece that includes via the correct melting of the raw materials and depending on the type of product, it could be hand blown and these would be skilled craftsmen with several years minimum of experience, and also wooden tools that are used to shape the crystal as its blown. And there is a long cooling time required, which is called annealing, which actually lets the crystal cool properly to give it some strength, and then, after that depending on the product again there is several stages of decorating that might be used such as diamond wheel cutting or etching, painting in some cases, but this… all these things really go up to make crystal an expensive product.

I understand that we play in the toughest conference, in fact we have the hardest schedule next year. I also understand that the lack of depth, experience, and adjusting to a new staff are all factors that are working against us BUT I honestly believe we will find a way to go at least 6-6 and get back to a bowl game. I think we’ll win ALL four non-conference games and find a way to get at least conference games. YES we return some of the same players but I believe this staff is competent enough to find a way to get at least two conference wins.

Glass is an “amorphous solid”, it’s molecules have no real alignment, a crystal is a solid with a regular repeating molecular structure. Chemicals can be added to molten glass that will give it a crystalline structure, it then has different optical properties, greater strength, greater price, etc.

49 — Okay, buddy. Don’t get so upset. So you would spend money for those bunkers in tornado alley (Kansas, Oklahoma, etc.), but not for other states (like Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Tennessee, Alabama, etc.) in what is known as a secondary tornado alley? Sure, tornado alley states have a higher probability for tornadoes than us in Kentucky, but other than that, secondary tornado alley states (like Kentucky) have a higher probability for tornadoes than most anywhere else in the world. The reality is, though, the probability for a direct hit in a given place (like a school) is so extremely small — in Kansas, Oklahoma, or Kentucky — that it is very hard to justify the cost.

UK/John Calipari – wanted a new arena which means it would more than likely be relocated out of downtown.

Lexington – Doesnt want it moved. They get a ton of buisiness downtown from Rupp. Downtown collapses without it. City also is very concerned about the entire district and other things outside of the arena like the stream and convention center and everything. UK only cares about Rupp.

Unless I’m mistaken there are four new head coaches in the sec this year:Kentucky, Arkansas, Auburn, and Tennessee. Those other 3 teams are traditionally better than UK. In my opinion it will be a successful season if we have a better record than at least 2 of them. That will take at least 5 wins I believe, and will mean we got the better hire.

Instead of renovating Rupp, why not build a new Arena across the street from Commonwealth over by the Apartments off Alumni Drive. That way you can share a parking lot that would be ready made to handle any parking for the arena. This could be funded by donors with naming rights sold to help pay for the project.

Here is the crazyness…if the lotter is at 600 million, initial taxes take it to 300million cash option. Then the first year the Fed’s will tax it again in the amount of around 75-100 million…. So tax wise, they take almost 400 million….THATS CRAZY!

Archie just won’t have a legacy. He’ll probably be forgotten in a few years. Here for 6 months and didn’t accomplish anything as a team or individual. I don’t hate him and I’m not mad at him, just being honest. I think he’ll just be forgotten about.

  237. Melvit
    11:43 am May 21, 2013 Permalink

Their attitude is what makes them have a bad legacy. I compared Archie with Rhodes all year long.

  238. Melvit
    11:44 am May 21, 2013 Permalink

Archie, Rhodes and Orton were not team players. They were only out for themselves.

    233) that’s why u take the 20 year option.

    600 million/20 = 30 million a year before taxes for 20 years.

Its also much much harder to go bankrupt with bad purchases and bad investments

  240. Edd
    11:44 am May 21, 2013 Permalink

Archie has already hit that point. Timing had as much to do with that as anything. I don’t think it’s that he’s disliked as much as he’ll just be forgotten.

Archie has just gone about everything the wrong way since the season was over.

“Anyone who says they’re ready to leave is delusionsal” He’s the only one who left, other than Nerlens (#1 pick)

“I’m gon’ make them eat they feet” On top of sounding stupid, he’s talking about the UK fans who said he’s not ready.

Plus countless other defensive tweets that dumbass fans feast on.

Archie may become a footnote in UK BB history. His role was never defined. In two years I won’t remember if he was a point or scoring guard, he had no walk off winning shots, was not a lock down defender. Great athlete and I hope he finds a place in the NBA.

233….its not taxes that take it to 300 mill…the lottery number is always the annuity….and the cash option is what you get now…..I would never take the annuity since its on a sliding scale based on inflation…take the cash option invest 50 mill with 8-10% ror annually and you would have 1-2 billion when you retire if you are 30.
