One improvement tonight in the platinum uniforms is simpler iconography. The regular Nike Blue and White uniforms have an embedded set of images on the back behind the numbers. Among the images on them is Memorial Hall with its long thin steeple and behind that is the face of a wildcat staring out. When the players get sweaty, it looks like a vagina with eyes.
    We’ve all been there. Chilling.

  56. srwhit4

Ok, two reasons why I am pissed
    1) the widget is still down, give me the chance and i can fix it or write new code and program for a player… its not hard
    2) Blake Griffins dunk while is good, is a foul on him. It’d be one thing if he just jumped over him but this is more than once he has literally shoved someone down with his off hand and dunked. Thats an offensive foul. Watch it closely, he just pushes Perkins down. In basketball thats a foul. While it was a cool dunk, Id take Lebron’s over his any day. If he doesnt use his off arm he gets blocked or is fouled… he doesnt dunk on him.

Matt, lighten up on the guy that mentioned Tubby. Listen, the last two seasons of Tubby were bad and the problem was, things were not looking to get any better any time soon. That is a lot of the problem that people have with Tubby. Sure, Tubby had some really good years but when he left, the problem people had with Tubby was watching us get 8 seeds and the future beginning to look bleak. Ease up. Tubby was on the decline, don’t hammer people for bringing up Tubby and Gillispie because most people are likely refering to the last few seasons of Tubby and the two seasons of Gillispie.

Tubby had 2 seasons where he scored more than this year’s team (1998 and 2001). Cal’s first year was also higher than all but two of those. Last year was a lower scoring year but still outscored half of Tubby’s teams. Cal is scoring on average 2 and a half points per game more than Tubby did. If you discount the first season which was Tubby’s highest,

I wish they’d made them more consistent, but regardless, it’s nice to be lumped in with the elite and the ugly back is at least something every team has to deal with (that’s a Nike fail in the design). But if we didn’t get the nod to wear the things while Duke, UNC, etc. get to? Boy, you think this fanbase is pissy now? It would be boiling over if we weren’t one of the “elite” teams chosen to wear them.

i have always thought that tubby’s demise started when he put all of his recruiting efforts into getting Tyler Hanbrough, and then didn’t get him. he had to settle for the thomas, perry, alleyne. orbzut class. then he put all of his efforts into getting brnadon wright, and didn’t get him either having to settle for jared carter, adam williams and michael porter. I think he really thought he was going to get hansbrough and wright, and when he didn’t, he didn’t have a good “fall back plan”

  185. ukgrad2004
    11:03 am January 31, 2012 Permalink

Let me expand on what I was talking about earlier. Neither of these coaches are elite. If you look at the total body of work, then Tubby has Billy beaten by a mile. Tubby won a title, won multiple SEC championships, garnered #1 seeds, and made it to three Elite Eights. But Tubby really dropped off substantially in his final two years. No, he didn’t abuse his players to the extent Billy did and he didn’t lose to VMI or Gardner-Webb, but he put up similar overall records and tournament finishes. It was four straight years of mediocrity and this is why people sometimes lump his final two years together with Billy’s two years. I wish both of them the best at their respective current institutions.

I’d say its a little late to go the “private” route, that ship sailed once you announced the name of the restaurant’s name on the air. In fact counselor, you might want to make a quick copy for proof to avoid a liable allegation.

My husband and I love DiOrio’s Pizza. We’ve been there problably six or seven times now and have always had a good experience. You can order pizza by the slice with your choice of toppings and their fried balls are fantastic. We’ve always had great service and great food! The atmoshere is cozy and everyone is very nice.

Teabag Issue: Matt should of went to Diorios and handled this privately. The guy would have been fired and that would have been the end of it. By posting his photo and name on KSR, not only will he be fired, but his name will be damaged and he might never get a job again. Yes, it’s no ones fault but his own but there is a difference between getting him fired and destroying him. Probably too late now though.

When I was listening to the show I knew the exact douche bag you were talking about. His name is fraizer miller, he played in my kickball league and was the quintessential tool bag drunk kid and I think his parents might own the Diorios or something. The kid was passed out on the ground upstairs at molly malones outside part on St. Patty’s day last year if that tells you anything. Kid is a complete waste of air. You probably won’t be able to get him fired because of his parents but you should whoop his ass, and spit/piss on him.
