Georgetown College is going to the ship!

Georgetown College will play in the NAIA Championship game thanks to some late heroics from Monty Wilson last night. Down one with only a few seconds remaining, Wilson fired up a deep three-pointer as time expired to give the Tigers a 90-88 come-from-behind victory over Louisiana State University-Shreveport in the Fab Four game in Kansas City.
Georgetown will face Southwestern Assemblies of God University in the finals tonight, its first appearance in the title game since 2000. The game will be televised on the CBS Sports Network at 8:30.

when do we get the bad news about Randle ?
Not that I really want to see UL do anything, but wouldn’t it be ‘neat’ if Georgetown won the NAIA, UK won the NIT and Louisville won the NCAA? Kentucky represents!
Go Tigers from a class of ’04 alum.
Go Tigers! Class of ’99.
Do work tonight Vic
Don’t forget Bellarmine has a serious shot at winning the D2 title AGAIN. Sweet 16 game tonight.
Go tigers! Class of 2002 alum!
thats NAIA Div 1….IU Southeast in New Albany coached by Wiley Brown went to the final four in Division II….solid bball all around this area.
So Georgetown is playing SWAG University? That will be tough to overcome.
Looks like he really pushed his defender off 2 seconds before the handoff he received. He could have easily been called for that foul. Otherwise, he probably wouldn’t have had the open look. He got lucky with the no call.
Doesn’t anybody think it’s wierd, we get top five and 10 recruits, McDonald’s All Americans, and both of these NAIA schools had better and more 3 point shooters than KY. LA team had a 6’3″ guard, scored 30 points, 14 rebounds, and 5 assist, 1 steal, playing against Georgetown backline 6′ 9″, 6′ 7″ and guards over 6 foot.
As far as #10 they got lucky, you didn’t see the last 2 minutes when Georgetown was called for two charges, 1 inside the circle and still moving, and the other obviously still moving and leaning in with a flop.
Somebody needs to tell the announcers that among Georgetowns 13 final fours, they have one more than one championship.
Go Tigers!! Class of ’93 alum
I’d love to watch this Georgetown team dismantle UK…
As a Pikeville alum, I can’t support anything Georgetown does. But it would be nice to see them bring it back to the state and MSC.
