As the world continues to either revel (Kentucky) or wallow (Washington) in the news that Terrence Jones flipped his commitemnt to Kentucky, most everyone can agree that one of the strangest recruiting sagas of recent memory ended last night. Jones is now a beloved figure in Lexington and, if you take a look at his Facebook page, a poor excuse for a human being in Washington after his not-so-sudden change of heart. According to our faux-hawked friend at CBS though, one thing Jones is not is a sympathetic figure. Gary Parrish writes that, after initially feeling sympathetic to the situation Jones found himself in as a confused, pressured 18-year old, he had a change of heart of his own over the past few weeks, culminating with Jones’ tweets last night, that changed Parrish’s opinion completely.
One can only hope that Jones finds the success in Lexington that another attention-starved recruit did, right Jeff Goodman? I’d take that.
