Gameday Prop Bets

These are the two teams playing

We’ll have the live blog up shortly, but before that let’s play around with a few prop bets for the upcoming game:

Morgan Newton breaks another run of 50 yards or more (+150)

I can’t see Morgan rumbling for as long a run as he had last week, but the element of the home crowd may be the only motivation he needs to tuck the ball and go.

More wide receiver drops than yards rushing (Even)

With the inclusion of some fresh faces into the receiving corps this week and less Matt Roark, this should be an easy bet. I hope to see a big game out of Raymond Sanders or Josh Clemons. Speaking of which…

More rush yards for Josh Clemons than Raymond Sanders (-200)

Sanders won the starting job in camp, but Clemons was the only back with an impressive run last week. I have to think that the coaching staff will gradually become more focused on the youngster.

Unlikely player touchdown score:

-Winston Guy (+100)

– Jordan Aumiller (+250)

– Brandon Gainer (+475)

– Aaron Boyd (+550)

– Bookie Cobbins (+750)

– Stuart Hines (+1000)

Offensive line more pancake blocks than Mark Crawford pancakes for breakfast (+250)

With Matt Smith and Bill Joe Murphy out for the game today, the offensive line could look worse than they did last week, plus Mark Crawford really loves pancakes.

Joe Mansour hits a kickoff through the uprights (-100)

Mansour can boom it.

More Ryan Tydlacka punts than Central Michigan points (-250)

If the defense and offense both play like they did last week, this will probably come true. In a perfect world, the two numbers would be the same: zero.

Over/Under:

The use of the line, “I never thought I’d miss Hartline…” overheard in the stands after a Morgan Newton interception (150)

Winston Guy quarterback hits (5)

Linemen receptions (2)

Bubble screens on 3rd and long (4)

Commentator mentions of Randall Cobb (15)

Joker Phillips signs of outward emotion (1)

Except for Clemons TD run neither running back did much. Much to early to discard Sanders. Clemons still has to continue to out play Sanders if he is to going to get most of the snaps. Both backs have talent but will that show up in the games and much of that depends on the line which got outplayed last week.
