University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Future Cat Named All-American

These posts are pretty frequent for basketball recruits.  Football recruits, not so much.  But there was some big news tonight for Kentucky’s first commitment of the 2012 class, Josh Harris.  The Mason County star was named a Second Team All-American by MaxPreps and was the only player from the state to earn the distinction.  The three-star player gave his verbal to the Cats back in February when he was also looking at Louisville and had offers to attend Junior Day from Alabama, Tennesee, LSU and Ohio State.

This is what he does:

UK has 19 recruits so far for the year 2012… Most of their offer list doesn’t look that impressive but I can assure you the BIG SCHOOLS were going to offer and interested. I PROMISE

I love the fact that he is rated a 3 star and still made the the second team. I get so tired of hearing our fans gripe about signing 3 stars or even lower. There is only a so many 5 stars which obvously are going to the football powers. There are more 4 stars than 5’s but I will take a solid three star player all day.

He makes the other players look like pop warner.

Also Colin Cowgill made the top plays on ESPN tonight, I think he was number 9.

Congratulations to the kid for receiving such a big honor. It’s good to see that the Mason County-to-UK pipeline wasn’t completely destroyed by Tubby not recruiting Lofton.
