Friendship Game Ends In Fighting

georgetown-fight21

In a week of supreme hypocrisy in the world of college sports, it seems somewhat appropriate that what was billed as a “Friendship Game” between Georgetown and a Chinese team ended in a violent brawl. With the game tied at 64 and less than ten minutes remaining, the two teams began fighting with each other, which included the wielding of chairs and both benches emptying. The game came to a conclusion, John Thompson III issued a statement about how Georgetown has wonderful respect for the country and it was like nothing ever happened.  And it left us all wondering one thing.  Why did it have to be Georgetown and not Duke?

    7. I agree. Hoyas have always been thugs. Doesn’t surprise me in the least. I’m biased though. Never have liked John Thompson Senior. Especially after years of listening to him on the radio on his daily talk show. He hates UK by the way.

China hates the US, like everyone else in the world. From what I have read it sounds like they started it. I like making fun of the Big Least as much as anyone, but we should stand behind Gtown on this one.

Just a preview of the next US war when China finds out we aren’t paying them back..

It wasn’t Duke because Duke doesn’t play outside of Durham until after Christmas.

The damn Chinese went to lynch the kid from G-Town. Scrum on the ground for a loose ball, the Chinese player takes a swing, and then it suddenly becomes 10 vs. 1.

This is really on par for how the Chinese fight…strength in numbers. Disgusting.

Good thing this wasn’t a football game between the Chinese and ‘The U’ – there’d be a bunch of dead and cut up China’men laying around.

Wow, it was pretty obvious to me that the Chinese started it. At the very least they were the ones to clear their bench first and gang up on one Gtown player. All the while the idiots in the stands are laughing. Stay classy China.

Never trust a communist nation. I’ve never liked the fact that Cal has tried to reach out to the Chinese.

#26. Not only are the fans in the crowd laughing, but quite a good number were raining debris on the players as they exit the court. Real classy indeed.

30- sorry, i will never root for a team (hoyas) that is associated in any possible way with the louisville cardinals. to me, the hoyas are terrorists, just louisville. do i like the chinese? no, but do i like them more than the big east. yes, yes i do. son, if you’re going to hate. hate to the bone. i hate louisville.

You people are ridiculous. This isn’t China vs. Georgetown. Or China vs. the big east. It’s China vs. America. And the fact that you all are advocating violence against fellow AMERICANS is DISGUSTING. I hate Georgetown. I hate the Hoyas. I hate the big east. I hate John Thompson. I hate John Thompson III. I hate Louisville. But I love America and would never wish this upon anyone, especially fellow Americans who were in an unfair fight against a bunch of Chinese punks.

Coachs know when things are about to get outta hand if the game was getting to rough there should have been stoppage in play. To many times teams bust out in a fight because the coaches are to busy pushing them to some lesson..thats why i love Cal he can take a kid on the road to destruction and have em rite in the palm of his hand..wouldnt have happend with a cal club..ex: boogie manages and you can just see how fierce he is
