Former UT strength coach arrested for breaking into arena office with a saw and stealing $4K

Now for some “Tennessee being Tennessee” news: former Tennessee men’s basketball strength and conditioning coach Troy Wills was arrested for breaking into an office at Thompson-Boling Arena with a saw, ransacking the room causing $750.00 in damages, and stealing $4,150.00 from the desk. Wills was let go last season after being with the program for eight seasons. This wasn’t Wills’ first brush with the law: in December, he stole a bottle of tanning cream valued at $100 from Knoxville tanning salon.

Did he try to escape in a Prius, too?

If he’s so strong then he shouldn’t have had to use a saw

i bet the desk that had the money in it was in the recruiting room

What does driving a Prius have to do with a petty crook that likes to go to tanning beds? Sorry I’m missing the reference

Why is he former? Would be interesting to know. Get on it Secret Squirrel TT. Totally unrelated, but just watching local newscast here in Reno and they had that beggar/scam artist in Lexington story you had posted earlier. He’s getting national shame.

Who would have $4150.00 in a desk anywhere!? Didn’t read the article, hopefully it makes sense of it.

The Big 12 has admitted their were mistakes in the Kansas game last night and that the officials involved will be reprimanded. Our dougie shows blew some bad whistles in that game I believe!

I didn’t read carefully. If you steal a bottle of cream while making tons of money you are either delusionally cheap or seeking an adventurous thrill.

All that for $4k. tsk tsk But he is a Vol. I shouldn’t be suprised. Hope he finds ass rape well worth that well devised heist.

All this is good and well, but he’s a FORMER Vol coach. This is just another life ruined by drugs (probably) if he weren’t FORMERLY associated with the UT program.

Prison Uniforms are often UT Orange (or so I’ve seen)…COINCIDENCE? I think not!

actually, prison uniforms are closer to a Clempson orange than UT’s.

We couldn’t ask for better arch rivals than Lousyville and Tennessee. They are the gifts that keep on giving.

    @17…

    We aren’t your rivals.

You are 1 of 28 against UT in football.
We have been similarly dominated by you in basketball.

That doesn’t spell “rivalry”. Saying it is so, doesn’t mean it is so.

19: so you randomly go on other teams blogs for no reason at all seems a little suspicious. A. we are either a rival or B. you are a UL fan either way you are a rival

You are all missing the most important detail: A BOTTLE OF TANNING CREAM COSTS $100! WTF!

Never mind the burglary story itself. Why was there 4k cash just chillin like that?! Seems odd. If it were UK, the questioning would be insane!

I have to ask the same question as others: What is $4100 doing in a desk drawer in an athletic office? Petty cash?

#21 nailed it ! A bottle of tanning cream costs $100?
Spring breakers are in trouble…the tanning cream will cost more than the gas this year.

BTW, the UT security folks forgot to guard their yard!

This isn’t this poor man’s fault, it is George Bush’s fault. This is still his economy, and because of budget cuts, ut had to let him go. I hope George W Bush can sleep at night knowing he drove this poor man to a life of crime. People down in Knoxville, have this man’s people get with my people – I’m sure Eric Holder can make this whole incident disappear from his record.
