Forever a former wildcat in our hearts, Enes Kanter was listed among 18 players set to play for the Turkish National Team on their finalized roster. Kanter mentioned a handful of times that he would like to play for Turkey in the event of a lockout, so seeing this made official doesn’t come as much of a shock. Kanter will be joined by a few other NBA players including Hedo Turkoglu and a few other players you aren’t familiar with.
This will no doubt place Turkey towards the top in international basketball once again, though not quite in the same realm as Spain and the US.
So never fear, even in the face of a lock out we may still get to see the Underkanter unleashed. The only bad news with this – we can probably count Enes out as a potential guest practice player at the Joe Craft center this year.
