As we’ve said hundreds of times before, the basketball job at Kentucky is one that is unlike any other position in the nation. It’s responsibilities are not always measured in wins and losses and its value to the Commonwealth cannot be measured on a profit and loss report. However, Forbes magazine does its best to determine if Cal is worth the money that Mitch Barnhart handed over to him this spring. By comparing the money he’s paid to the money he brings in, it appears that Cal gets more than your average CEO. Of course, those of us that know Kentucky basketball would say we’re getting our money’s worth. A pretty cool (and surprisingly easy) read for your Tuesday afternoon.
