Familiar Names in the Adidas Nations’ Box Scores

Three Kentucky players have been participating in the Adidas Nations event this weekend in California. The infamous @DraftExpress Twitter account released the two box scores above from the scrimmages last night. In case your eyes have difficulty interpreting the font in the pictures, I’ll throw out a few stats of interest for some familiar players:

Will Sheehey (Indiana): 16 pts. on 7-9 shooting

Isaiah Canaan (Murray State): 11 pts. on 4-11 shooting

Willie Cauley-Stein (Kentucky): 7 pts., 4 rebs, on 3-5 shooting (including a 3-pointer)

Nerlens Noel (Kentucky): 9 pts, 2 rebs, 1 block, 3 turnovers, 3 steals on 4-8 shooting

Kyle Wiltjer (Kentucky): 3 pts. on 1-11 shooting

Wayne Blackshear (Louisville): 8 pts., 5 rebs on 3-7 shooting

Peyton Siva (Louisville): 17 pts, 9 assists on 7-10 shooting

Gorgui Dieng (Louisville): 9 pts, 9 rebounds on 4-11 shooting

Nice game Kyle. Hopefully you get these bad games out of your system. 1-10? Ouch

Not impressed with our players but that doesnt hinder my excitement for their skill levels. Kentucky players are meant for Kentuckys system and Cal could take a player with even Dieng’s ability and turn him into a beast like Davis. They just feel more comfortable playing for him. #NotWorried

They played two games… of course KSR doesn’t show the other box score. SMH. Kyle went a combined 4/26 in two games, Noel only had two blocks, WCS was hardly impressive.

F*** this…first Joker sucks and now Cal? I can’t believe Wiltjer still has a scholly after this. You put on the blue and white YOU ARE THE BLUE AND WHITE IN EVERYTHING YOU DO. Way to play your way out of the starting lineup boy.

But for the trolls, yes Louisville players a much better showing than Kentucky last night, enjoy it cause our players outshine your style of play which does a great job hiding talent.

7 pts on 4-7 shooting??? if that’s not impressive, than I don’t know what the hell is… represent WCS!!!

Ya’ll are taking this too serious. Any old game (especially these kind) arent grounds to re-evaluate our players. Your opinions should not change based off a game 3 months before the season. I could ramble off as to why, but you guys need to just believe in our players. Fellow UK fans your really are aggravating

    10. Yeah man I agree, though I feel they will project him high and he’ll have a tough decision, but he’s a learner though action not at all like Davis’ who was brillant in that he adapted to each game. Noel has more ability at the posiition, not near as much skill, and will have to take a more marquis teague role where he shines when is doing well but will be the weight of the team dictating at what excellence they can play and further and further into the season he running with the squad in stride. Still presents a situation that looks promising for a championship but we’ll need players at other spots to have the strength Davis and Gilchrist brought last year.

Hey little brother tard fans, in case you forgot we are the defending national champs and dont forget it! But how could you forget it since we smacked you like the little brother you are in the final four on our way to#8. And before you have the right to talk any smack you have to earn it and so far you havent earned squat since your 15secod coach is YET to beat Cal as he is 0-4 against Almighty Cal and Big Brother. You scrubs havent hung a national banner since 86 and since then we have hung 3 which that alone is more than your weak azz 2 so go rewatch the final four game like i am right now and cry yourself to sleep as im sitting here with a huge, happy smile on my face 🙂

    Always,

Jill, it’s always basketball season in the state of Kentucky . If you need to be reminded that I suggest you move to a football state like AL or FL. This is, and always will be, a basketball state. But go ahead and go back to sleep. We will wake you up when midnight madness kicks off

Meanwhile, Chris Walker is having a pretty good showing through 3 games in this event he is averaging 16 points and 10 rebounds. By far outshining all of the UK boys and Walker still has another year in high school. Guess ole Cal is wishing he hadn’t played games with Walker and offered him a scholarship now. Every time UK and Florida play each other when this kid becomes a Gator is going to be an opportunity for Walker to show Cal he should have showed him some love. Thanks Cal for being stupid, your loss is Florida’s gain.

#25. Your Multi task is more impressive than your teams last two or three games last season. Seems all the high expectations are based on” should be good” pretty thin ice for braggadocia.

Too many people complaining. We will be fine. You’ve see how far we went with Brandon Knight’s team (final four), and that team didn’t have nearly as much raw talent and athleticism that this years team does. It might be a rocky start like Brandon Knight’s team. But towards the end of the season i guarantee we will be right there with the hand full of the best teams in college basketball, and a true contender for the talent. Again that is if all this raw talent and athleticism produces at the level they are capable of, and Calipari hasn’t had a team here yet that didn’t get the best out of every team, every game. We just won the national championship, and here we are with a brand new team loaded with talent, and a very high ceiling. Just sit back, relax, ad enjoy being a CATS fan!
