Here’s hoping his shirt is the trophy.
Former Kentucky player (and Assistant Coach,) and Louisville Head Coach was made a more pronounced part of the Governors Cup rivalry today. The Louisville Sports Commission announced today that they have decided to create the Howard Schnellenberger Most Valuable Player award for the winner of the annual Kentucky Louisville rivalry. I’m for this, as it seems like a good way to keep one of the legends of the state prominently involved in the premiere football game of the commonwealth.
It also seems like a good way for Randall Cobb to add another trophy to his case. Odds on him taking it home are set at 3:1.
