We may or may not have picked on Eric Crawford before for some of his takes on Kentucky and Louisville. I can’t remember. But the Courier-Journal’s rounded the bases this morning after hitting one out of the park with his take on the increasingly ridiculous battle between Kentucky and the NCAA over John Calipari’s career win total. Crawford says that he can’t blame Kentucky fans for thinking that there is a conspiracy in Indianapolis to nail the Cats and that sending a five-page letter to the school about Cal’s win total (Ohio State’s letter on their infractions was eight pages) is beyond ridiculous. Agreed. There might not be an organization on the planet with more issues to resolve at this second and they’re spending their precious time on what Crawford so perfectly calls Kentucky’s “lack of statistical control”. Give ’em, hell Eric.
Hopefully, the two parties can get this resolved and move on to what is most important. Finding John Calipari’s birth certificate.
