Eric Crawford thinks the NCAA is crazy

We may or may not have picked on Eric Crawford before for some of his takes on Kentucky and Louisville.  I can’t remember.  But the Courier-Journal’s rounded the bases this morning after hitting one out of the park with his take on the increasingly ridiculous battle between Kentucky and the NCAA over John Calipari’s career win total.  Crawford says that he can’t blame Kentucky fans for thinking that there is a conspiracy in Indianapolis to nail the Cats and that sending a five-page letter to the school about Cal’s win total (Ohio State’s letter on their infractions was eight pages) is beyond ridiculous.  Agreed.  There might not be an organization on the planet with more issues to resolve at this second and they’re spending their precious time on what Crawford so perfectly calls Kentucky’s “lack of statistical control”.  Give ’em, hell Eric.

Hopefully, the two parties can get this resolved and move on to what is most important.  Finding John Calipari’s birth certificate.

I may be in the minority here, but Eric Crawford writes some good stuff on his blog/column most of the time

I say give them back. As soon as Wooden gives back all of his wins from the “Sam Gilbert Era”.

Ask the Nc2a if we could be penalized 5 games in the future that we dont intend to play anyway.

I generally am not a Crawford fan, but anybody who fits Decartes and the third Hangover film in subsequent sentences deserves props.

Why not just send a letter of apology saying, “Sorry … remember, we’re Kentucky … obviously, we can’t count.” Besides, who’s to say they were celebrating his 500th “win”? Hey, maybe they were celebrating his 500th milkshake, or 500th haircut. Come on now, what the heck differnce does it make? We were just looking for a reason to party!!!

KSR should file an open records request with UK for the name of the “rival fan” that complained.

    Maybe it was Mark Emmert.
