Eric Bledsoe is Ballin

bledsoe

There are a couple of former UK guys that are poised to have breakout years in the NBA. I expect to see Demarcus Cousins and Brandon Knight both make a big leap this year and hit another level on their talent. But let’s also not forget about Eric Bledsoe. Last night Eric Bledsoe had a game to remember, scoring 22 points, 11 assists and 9 steals versus the Lakers. He dominated the game on both ends and was an absolute pest to the Lakers’ team. We sometimes forget about Bledsoe thanks to the Wall/Cousins duo, but if last night was an indication, Bledsoe has come to play this season.

Love it, just posted his stat line on Instagram, 9 Steals!!! Wow – not to mention he played a game high 4 Min!

Miller looked good as Did Davis and T Jones, Patrick Patterson DNP for some reason

Oh Yeah, Jodie Meeks Started for the lakers as well!

Bledsoe was on fire. He had 9 steals with over 5 minutes left. I loved the Jordanesque move he put on. AND he was the youngest guy on the court.

Meeks looked ok. He got burned a few times, but he was getting to the line and making his free throws. Interesting note, he’s the top ranked SG in the NBA for least turnovers.

Just watched the recap video of last night’s Clips game on NBA.com. Highly recommend checking the clip out (can’t link to it) because Bledsoe was absolutely playing out of his mind. My only concern with him increasing his role this season is that the Clippers have WAY too many depth in the back court right now. If he keeps playing like this, though, the overwhelming majority of CP3’s backup minutes should find their way to Eric for sure.

#4, his coach is Vinny Del Negro, so don’t hold your breath. Bledsoe on any “real” team would be getting 20+ mins per night.

Touche’, RaleighCat. I completely forgot about that imbecile coaching the team. That definitely ratchets my excitement level for this down a notch.

I never forget about Bledsoe…not sure why anyone else does. Also everyone acts like next year will be the first year that we’ve had the top 2 gurads out of highschool in the country as if we didn’t 3 years with Wall/Bledsoe. Guys terrific

13 that is a very bold statement by him, hard to argue with it though

Bledsoe is trying to secure that spot next to Paul in the Clippers starting lineup.

15 Bledsoe is trying to play his way into a big contract. I dont see him being in LA much longer, someone will be willing to pay him

#8 and #9, I don’t think anyone has forgotton about Bledsoe and he wasn’t the the second ranked guard coming out of high school, he wasn’t even in the top 100 in some ranking services

Ok Uk fan here but I was a NBA fan first as many of you are not, Bledsoe on a non-contender would get great minutes but on a team with Chris Paul and Chauncey Billups that is a playoff team now he just won’t get the minutes, especially at the end of games which is what he needs to develop. Not to mention how short he and Paul would be defensively on the court if that came about. He’s in a bad spot and it’s still preseason so don’t take it to heart too much.

#19, I watch a TON of NBA hoop and it’s laughable to consider Chauncey Billups a legit big-minutes player anymore. This isn’t 2005. Dude has an endorsement contract with Formaldehyde. Dead. Stiff.

Bledsoe shouldn’t start for LA Clips (you can’t really play two guards that short at once) but needs to be FIRST guard off the bench for either the 1 or 2. It’s Bledsoe Time, baby. VDN needs to see it.
