They didn’t count him as a Kentucky pick. ESPN said we only had 3 picks in the draft.

absolutely fantastic for Kentucky. Tonight is wonderful for recruiting for the second year in a row and next year looks to be even better. I guarantee every High School kid wanting to play in the NBA knows where Enes spent the last season. Also some major props for KSR for having both “Jorts” and “Free Enes” mentioned on National TV!

I don’t think may realize just how bad a’ f***’n the NCAA jackwipes gave us last year with the Kanter decision. This kid would have been awesome for us. Great kid, who really wanted to be a student-athlete, but the NCAA said no, we are only for semi-pro kids like Selby. Assholes.

God works In funny ways. If Enes played last year, Jorts likely doesnt get drafted. I hate that we didnt get to hang banner number 8 but Josh was rewarded for all of his dedication. Josh’s story Is one for the ages. He was one a filler spot on the roster In the BG era and went all the way to shutting down Sullinger and being drafted when most said he had no business playing at the D1 level. Couldnt have happened to a greater human being. As far as Enes goes….wow….just wow. What loyalty that young man showed tonight. Special things are happening up In Lexington. The Calipari Era will be one we will tell our grandkids about.

thank you 11. I’m really beginning to have hatred for the people within our own fanbase who don’t recognize Enes for what he is… an all-time UK great. I don’t care that he never put on a UK jersey because he wanted to worse than anybody who ever did wear one. He is my all time favorite player. We love you ENES GO GET EM!!!!!!!!

The UK fans that don’t feel like Enes is a big part of UK I have found to be rather uninformed and generally cranky, but most of all ignorant and casual fans at best. If you were at tent city you are a big ENES fan because of the same thing that was on display tonight- Enes’ genuine love for the BBN… like no other player I’ve seen personally. If you don’t know what tent city is, then you are probably one of those “fans” that drove me to write this. Idiots

I know someone mentioned it earlier, but it is pretty amazing that a bunch of “dork” fans with a blog site got two of their blog themes “Jorts” and “Free Enes” mentioned by national correspondents on ESPN during the NBA draft. Congrats guys, you have done us hardcore CATS fans proud!

Now I am just disappointed the NFL draft did not include a feature on Randall Cobb’s “pretty eyes”!

How on earth can UK fans lay claim to Enes Kanter and his draft position??????????? I assume schools can recruit any/all ineligible players and then lay claim to their future success?

    What a joke!

Lets see…Enes was introduced at madness as a Kentucky player… he practiced with team…he was a student assistant on the team…the College bball org had jurisdiction over him and he was enrolled at UK…YEP, Enes is a Wildcat forever.

It just blows my mind that ESPN and all their lil commentators could not bring themselves to sayn Turkey/Kentucky for Enes!
I mean if Fran and the NBA Commissioner can say it then why cant they?? If he was a dukie it wouldve said duke only! Yeah he didnt play at UK but he was enrolled there as a student! I mean the kid asked before the draft if he could have both said! They punished him enough by not letting him play college ball. They could have at least granted him that much respect.
It was almost like they were trying every which way they could not to say it! AMAZING!!! And just want to add how great i thought it was that he took the time to thank UK and dedicate the season to the fans!!! GO ENES!!! Your finally free!!!

Shawn wasn’t proselytizing. He just included God in his world view. Quit being atheist assholes sniping at someone who believes life has meaning and purpose. Not every mention of God is preaching or looking for a fight. Quit looking for it yourself.

WVrefugee, no one is “lay[ing] claim to Enes Kanter.” We are supporting a young man who made a commitment to Kentucky and did everything he could for the team and the University. I think it shows the real heart of BBN to give support to a guy after he was ruled ineligible. A lesser fan base would just forget about him because he couldn’t help them win. But we are different. We care about him as a person, not just a means for winning games. That is goodness in the hearts of the people of BBN, and it is one more reason I’m a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky.

at #22 “If” after the NCAA ruling on Enes, he drops out of school his grades would have counted against the program. So how are we not able to Lay claim to him and his draft position.
FYI he stayed because he bleeds BLUE.
    HEY NCAA……Hows our Enes taste!!!!

excuse me….how did Calipari NOT win National Coach of the Year honors last year?? Or even SEC?? coaches a 6 man rotation–3 freshmen starters, a JC transfer turned starter, a JC transfer turned backup, his best player ineligible (and some resulting heartbreaking road losses)…to the Final Four…perhaps his best coaching job (and best sideline coaching since Tubby’s ’98 tournament run)…and yet one bit of coaching we didn’t get to see…his work with Enes…scouts said he was fundamentally way ahead of where they thought he would be…come to UK…even if the NCAA forbids you to play because you paid a little extra for your education the coaches at UK will still teach you how to develop an NBA ready game…can’t wait to see what Cal will be able to do with this upcoming team…my oh my…UNC had better be ready

We will be sending another letter to Kentucky. It is very troubling and extremely troubling that an NBA player would dedicate his season to a college program and their fans. The OSU investigation is on hold until we complete this investigation at Kentucky. More to come.
