Eastern Kentucky is now packed in with the Dirty Cards for the first time in recent memory (except the short-lived Stuart Miller-Pitino dance). Elisha Justice of Shelby County has committed to Louisville as a “preferred walk-on” for next season. You may remember Justice as one of my favorite players from the Billy Clyde “open gyms” of yesteryear. He is short, but extremely quick and has a little flash to his game (think Hunter McClintock with a mountain accent). I have always enjoyed watching him play and he is a fan-favorite with the ball in his hand.
Now that he has gone to Louisville, I will have to dislike him…but he still has one more year in the Mountains and I plan on making at least one venture to Shelby Valley to see the kid before he becomes Louisville-infested.
