    I wish Cap would have rather found out who was in the fight and punish them. At the same time, he couldn’t turn a blind eye towards it, he had to do something.

    Does anyone believe if these so called “student activities” involved a Team coached by Cal, that Capilouto would open his mouth?

    With leadership like this guy and mitch – there is NO WAY that we get a good head coach to replace joker. Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised if these two brain farts give joker a raise and contract extention.

    Congrats Matthew and KSR, you have just had your press passes and access to UK athletics revoked. Mr Jerry Tipton and the HL can say all they want about Coach Cal and his players – but there will be NO jokes made at my expense allowed. KSR, see you back on campus in about 10 years, when I retire.

    #10 it’s because of one fight I’d say. This did nothing but made KY less attractive. Fights happen just because it made it to ksr its a big deal. The whole state of KY will always be behind the curve because of people that think so small minded(who is half the state).

    Eli Capilouto was embedded in controversy during his time as Provost at UAB. UK fans have only seen the “tip of the iceberg” so to speak as to what he will do to damage UK and its image long term. Check out some more damaging information by using Google to look up “Legal Schnauzer”, and see what this site reports about fraudulent activity occurring through the UAB Provost office to the tune of more than $600 million dollars during his tenure and how the university spent huge sums of money to pay for a Washington, D.C. law firm to negotiate a multi-million dollar settlement. The university finally settled with the Department of Justice during the Bush Administration due criminal activity regarding federal grants under his watch. There is much more negative information to this man than the good folks of Kentucky realize! Also, look at all the lawsuits regarding faculty and administrators against him currently in Birmingham, Alabama courts at the present time.

    Kind of funny how Franklin spent most of his day bashing the president for his banning of tailgating on Cooper for the UK student body. Hey Franklin is this you covering your ass after you posted the video on this website that led to the video being publicized. Youre the village idiot who thought it was a genius idea to post the video on a website that is promoting the University of Kentucky, not bashing the institution. Why don’t you accept that you are nearly in your 30s and stopping trying to act like a goddamn student. Also do all of us students a favor and stop showing up at limestone bars. Its creepy that you think your hot shit because you get paid part time to write for a blog that has as much journalistic credibility of the Onion.

    I hate to say I told you so, so I won’t. Just know that I did.

    Times are going to get bad brothers. I’m talking Frodo in the orc tower bad. In times like these I turn to the only universal solace available…movies.

    Animal House–The time has come for someone to put their foot down. And that foot is me.
    –Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son.
    –What? Over? Did you say “over”? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!

    And for the more literary of our readers, I give you…Shakespeare’s St Crispins day speech–
    This story shall the good man teach his son;
    And Crispin Crispian shall ne’er go by,
    From this day to the ending of the world,
    But we in it shall be remembered-
    We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
    For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
    Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,
    This day shall gentle his condition;
    And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
    Shall think themselves accurs’d they were not here,
    And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
    That fought with us upon Saint Crispin’s day.

    So it’s the University’s Presidents fault for enforcing University’s policies. It is a dry campus the students were lucky to get away with doing it right in the open for so long. What do you expect the university president to do sit there and say he supports his students openly drinking on a dry campus and support underage drinking so clear in the public. It’s a shame it had to end because I’m sure it was a great time for the students and brought the students together to tailgate and seem like a fun university for future students to attend. I wish it didn’t have to come to an end but he had to so something when this became so public those students in the fight and KSR dealt his hand for him. He could of just stepped up the police and remind students of the alcohol policy instead of taking away tailgating for everyone in that area. But had to do something.

    You all are dumb. If another bunch of drunken idiots get in a brawl and someone is seriously injured or killed then you are looking at permanent bans on things like this. If you idiots didn’t act like toothless rednecks then these type of punishments wouldn’t be doled out, now would they? Stop acting like little crybabies and put the blame where it is due, on yourselves.

    UK Snuggie, how about punishing the ones who are guilty instead of banning everyone. We know how well that works based on history, I think it was called prohibition. Now students will just go elsewhere to drink, this doesn’t solve the problem at all.

    My main issue with Capilouto is that he wouldn’t allow my professor to postpone our exam for the Tuesday after the National Championship game. So, that being said, I really don’t like the guy.

    Jenny, you’re missing the point. It’s not the point that people are drinking, it’s the fact that they are irresponsible when they do so. Students will go somewhere else to drink, so be it, but it won’t be the university on the hook when someone gets injured or killed. So, yes you do punish everyone to get rid of the overall liability. One day when you have more than some cloths and the car that mommy and daddy got you for high school graduation maybe it’ll be a little more clear for you.

    A person is rational… Even as a college student. Groups of people are irrational… Especially at the college age. Sure students will go elsewhere and drink but, not all of them to the same place. UK is worried about their liability. When I was at UK we just partied on State and University until game time and then walked over.

    UK Snuggie — “Clothes”…. Not sure who gives out cloths for graduation gifts… I would be very angry if I received a cloths for graduation.
    Don’t make assumptions about people…. I’m not passing judgment on you because your name is UK Snuggie….Wait, yes I am.
