Last year, amidst all the glory the Kentucky Basketball program was enjoying, tragedies and sad stories continued to surface about alums. Former Wildcat Ed Davender – charged with ticket fraud – faces a new charge. This may come as a surprise, but the new charge? More ticket fraud.
Davender, while free on bond, allegedly continued his fraudulent ways and sold make believe tickets to the 2010 men’s Final Four. His camp is claiming that this was simply a misunderstanding, though it’s a little hard to believe that an arrangement like that could be misunderstood. The motion to revoke his bond agreed, stating “…the defendant continued to engage in the same type of criminal behavior as he was originally charged with and pled guilty to on May 14.” On the other hand, it’s just as hard to believe that anyone would agree to buy tickets from a man that is awaiting charges for ticket fraud. Seriously. How dumb do you have to be?
As of this reporting, it’s uncertain how this will affect his sentencing date of July 30th.
