Drew Barker impresses at Elite 11 Finals

Future Kentucky quarterback Drew Barker has been on the west coast this weekend competing in the Elite 11 Quarterback finals. The highly touted 2014 commitment and the most popular diary writer on KSR wasted no time in impressing those in attendance. Barker talked on the KSR radio show last week about how extensive the playbook was for the camp, and how hard he planned to work to master it.

Coach Trent Dilfer said this was one of the best showings from a group of quarterbacks that he’s ever seen.

The ESPN analysts who were in attendance all day went over some of the top performances and highlights. The second quarterback they mentioned from the whole event? Drew Barker. They even referred to him as one of Kentucky’s “top recruiters.” We can all vouch for that.

“And Kentucky, they’ve been on a rip in recruiting. And one of their in-state guys, one of the top recruiters for them…did an awesome job I thought. He had a couple really good passes there. They’ve been putting them through drills with a little bit of coverage and situational passing. I thought he did excellent today.”

Go get em’, Drew.

“This kid has talent. Too bad he’s going to waste it by playing at Kentucky.”

Yes Drew has the talent to be a great quarterback at UK – question is will he be utilized? You have all of these new coaches for UK and they have proven themselves elsewhere but UK seems to be a graveyard for coaches and players. Can Drew beat the odds?? I sure hope so. Can the coaching staff actually bring a refreshing change to the mediocrity usually seen for UK football? I sure hope so. It would be nice to see an actual winning season here, not the 7-5 variety either and a so-so bowl game. Lots of promise but will it actually happen. Actions and game resluts speak louder than words and promises.

Trolls, thanks for the site hits.
I can’t wait until this becomes a pay site so you welfare bastards stay off this site. If ULoL had a free site you would be on it instead of the KSR site.

Please Matt, figure out the troll hits financial impact and charge us the difference before your numbers drop any more than what they already have.

    1) only waste here is your comment. By the time Drew is a RS Soph UK will be a serious contender for the SEC East. No I didn’t say UK was going to win the East but we will be beating SEC teams and determining who does win the East. Then his Jr. year who knows the Cats could be headed to Catlanta. GBB!!!

They got the cardchronicle don’t they?? Nah they just like being here. Like the unpopular kids who hate the popular kids, but still like to crash their parties to feel important.

You guys are cute thinking we are going to allow the SEC brand to be devalued by allowing UK to go to Atlanta. Talk about killing the national tv ratings.

    17) what about the tickets they would actually sell for the event? Pretty sure KY fans would jump all over that opportunity. Bite your tongue!
