Future Kentucky quarterback Drew Barker has been on the west coast this weekend competing in the Elite 11 Quarterback finals. The highly touted 2014 commitment and the most popular diary writer on KSR wasted no time in impressing those in attendance. Barker talked on the KSR radio show last week about how extensive the playbook was for the camp, and how hard he planned to work to master it.
Coach Trent Dilfer said this was one of the best showings from a group of quarterbacks that he’s ever seen.
The ESPN analysts who were in attendance all day went over some of the top performances and highlights. The second quarterback they mentioned from the whole event? Drew Barker. They even referred to him as one of Kentucky’s “top recruiters.” We can all vouch for that.
“And Kentucky, they’ve been on a rip in recruiting. And one of their in-state guys, one of the top recruiters for them…did an awesome job I thought. He had a couple really good passes there. They’ve been putting them through drills with a little bit of coverage and situational passing. I thought he did excellent today.”
Go get em’, Drew.
