DraftExpress.com’s new mock draft puts Randle in Boston, Young in Atlanta

young-grandma

DraftExpress.com released its first extended mock draft today with new first round predictions and pick-by-pick analysis. The popular mock draft website projects Randle avoiding Utah by falling to Boston at five, with James Young heading to Atlanta at No. 15.

Have a look:

*****

1.) Andrew Wiggins, Milwaukee Bucks

2.) Jabari Parker, Philadelphia 76ers

3.) Joel Embiid, Orlando Magic

4.) Dante Exum, Utah Jazz

5.) Julius Randle, Boston Celtics

Boston has all kinds of needs to fill, and a starting power forward can surely be considered one of them. Randle is talented enough to get picked much higher than this in a normal draft, and at some point will be difficult to pass up.

15.) James Young, Atlanta Hawks

DeMarre Carroll was surprisingly adequate as Atlanta’s starting small forward for much of the season, but continuing to add depth on the wing is something the Hawks will look to address either in the draft or free agency. James Young has a long ways to go before becoming a consistent contributor, but as one of the youngest players in this draft class, time is on his side.

Wouldn’t Randle’s spot be presently occupied by Jorts Ball Bag Jared Sullinger?

The draft lottery makes this stuff impossible to predict.

Agreed. It seems like no matter how bad their odds are, the Cavs get the first pick a lot and it’s rare for the team with the worst record to actually get the first pick. Keeps teams from tanking to get the top pick, though

Lets hope Young can hold that slot after the draft workouts.

For him to come to Catlanta would be near impossible based on draftexpress getting any picks correct.

Randle to BOS is more likely…get ready Rondo.

I would watch the Celtics again if Randle goes there. Hope they get him!

I have been a Celtics fan since I was 12 in the Bird years and seeing this makes me very happy!! It has been a very long year since we no longer have PGAR together. Maybe Doc will come back too!!
