Get ready, friends. With Mike Brown out in Cleveland, the Calipari/NBA rumor mill will be firing on all cylinders this week. Be prepared to hear everything from “the Cavs will make Cal the highest paid coach in the NBA” to “I just saw John Calipari and Lebron James sharing an ice cream cone while riding a tandem bicycle down East 4th Street in Cleveland.” Yeah, it’ll be like that.
But at least one person is confident Coach Cal will be sticking around in Lexington. Doron Lamb.
“He told me he isn’t leaving, he’s going to stay,” Lamb told the New York Post. “We got a good team,” Lamb said. “I think we can do big things next year.”
So there ya go. Straight from the mouth of one of our prized recruits. We believe him, right? Coach Cal wouldn’t lie to his incoming shooting guard, would he?
