He belongs to UL. Enough. This is a example of why there needs to be a rule implemented about hanging banners in RUPP. There should be at least a 10-20 year period before someones jersey is retired. He has spent more time trying ruin the program since he left than he did good while he was here. The recommendation to hire Tubby should have got his jersey removed. Farmer if found guilty needs to have his took down.

I’m going to make good use of another UL post on a UK site with a quick story:
I live in Nashville TN. The weekend after the tourney my wife and I went out to dinner downtown. She doesn’t care for sports but supports my love for UK. Obviously I take time out to tell her about the idiot fans for UL. But she has not truly understood my rants until after dinner that night. We came out of the restaurant and waited for the valet to get our car. People are all over the place partying. But all you can hear is a group of guys drunk as hell yelling at the top of thier lungs. They acted like total fools and everyone noticed. They were strutting/swerving down the sidewalk. We both said damn those guys are real jerk offs. As they got closer to us one of the fools yelled/slurred, “hey everyone do you remember when the cards won the national title”? No one answered. But they were just so drunk and in love with themselves and they were determined to make all of downtown nashville know it by making idiots of themselves. When we drove off my wife said damn those guys were embarrassing. I Said yeh they were UL fans. She said oooooh thooooose are the ones you talk about with the chicken bucket hats and what not. I said yes. She said wow they even had those beard things(line beards) you joke about. I said yes that is your UL fanbase for you and she laughed out loud.

There are ass whole fans supporting every team..good and bad…you can’t lump a fan of a school in because of a few nimrod fans you ran into once..not fair…some may have more than others but it equals out. As a kentuckian, my team is U.K but when they don’t make it and Louisville is going for it…. I am rooting for them as a proud kentucky college basketball fan. I don’t understand why the rivalry is so harsh between ul fans and U.k…..I would prefer to support them both even though I lean towards U.K…may the best team win. I also don’t understand too the bashing that Rick gets….why?….he did great things when he was with Kentucky…he’s now doing great things in Louisville…His personal life aside, he’s doing something right again as a coach..one that will go down in History as one of the best…so why not try less hating and more appreciating!…am I alone on this one?….there is so much anger on this site
