Awesome! One of the most skilled players to ever play for UK…great to see him still doing his thing.

Was great to see Tayshaun stay 4 years. The good ole days when players played for the front of the jersey not the back of it.

#5-How many Final Fours did we get to in Tayshaun’s 4 years you refer to as the “good ole days”?

Good point #5. You’d think some of the one-and-dones would note how Tayshaun has enjoyed a long and productive career after staying four years. Got to mean $ for him.

#3 – that Tayshaun superfan was actually from Kentucky. He has family up here where I am near Indianapolis. He was visiting them at the end of January and was very excited to score low level tickets to the Pacers vs. Pistons game so he could see Tayshaun. Obviously the video of him tells the rest of the story. And yes, I’m sure he did not follow Doron Lamb’s mantra and he geeked after seeing that nasty dunk.

Damn Tayshaun got nasty on em!!!! He’s a great player and always seemed like a good dude, glad to see him still making his $$$ in the league…Just wish we could see him at UK a little more than we do.

Now that the Bulls and Teague are out he is the only former UK player with a chance to win the title this year. So go Grizz!!!!

Or does Jorts get a ring if the Heat win? He was on the roster for a while earlier in the season.

Watched it live and it was awesome. Tayshaun has had one of the best NBA careers of a UK alum. Nothing spectacular, just a good solid NBA player throughout, with the ability to do just about anything offensively as well as being very solid on defense. I agree with #2, one of the most skilled players to ever be a Cat.

Harold (#5) – saying this is a true disservice to the young men who choose not to stay in school for four years. Yes, Prince is a great guy of whom we are all proud but do you think that Brandon Knight, Nerlens, AD or MKG did a disservice to UK? If this was your son, are you actually saying you would advise them to risk tens of millions of dollars AND a dream they have had since very young just to stay in Lex for four years? If UK has done anything for these kids then they should be able to calculate the positives and negatives of how they want to finish a degree (riding a moped or driving a Bentley to class)and make that decision w/o people questioning their integrity. If your argument is that we shouldn’t recruit such talented kids or to bring them along more slowly as Prince’s coach did then we just disagree. I’ve enjoyed the 3 FF’s and #8 that have come over the past four years.

In ’59 there was a John Wayne movie — Rio Bravo — where the tag line around Ricky Nelson (!) was “So tough he doesn’t have to prove it”. That’s Tayshaun Prince. I love the clip of him and his 5 straight threes against UNC. The most demonstrative of Prince’s displays is to curl his lip a bit. If anything, he became more deadpan the further into his string of 3s he went. (If I remember correctly, didn’t he hit a 6th 3 later in the game?)
