Dominican vs. UK Alumni Game Still Looking For A TV Home

Considering the excitement surrounding the game among Kentucky’s fans, you’d think that finding a television station wanting to broadcast the exhibition game between the Dominican National team and the team of former UK NBA stars would be fairly easy.  That’s apparently not the case.  According to Ryan Lemond on todays KSR show, the game will not air on the UK Network (again, it’s not a UK event) and the search for a way to televise the game continues.  For the sake of us all, let’s hope they can reach an agreement with a local station or Univision in the near future.

Until then, someone get out the Dom Papa signal.  The Big Blue Nation needs him more than ever.

My only hope is that ESPN picks it up, so I can watch it on the internet out here in Denver. That probably won’t happen, so one of you all better record it for me.

Why not KSTV? It think this is a golden opportunity for you guys. You should film it and then offer a playback over the web here on KSR…We count on you guys for this sort of stuff. Come on! Please make it happen. You’re my only hope.

You would think that NBA TV would be desperate for filler material in this lockout summer.

5- I’ve been saying it alll along that KSR should do a UK sports tv package. I’d pay KSR to stream every UK or UK related sporting event. Then Beis could finally buy those gold teeth he was been wanting.

Agree with 5. Attach a GoPro to your hat while your at the media table and link it live on the web. Should work for a few minutes until it blows up. 😉

    3) Ditto, though that usually means CC feeds, which suck. I’m still pissed I paid $12 for a CC feed to watch LSU destroy us in football years ago.

Hope it’s ESPN or someone will put it on Justin.tv or something. I’m moving to Pennsylvania and want to see this REALLY bad!

    15) They’ve probably got contract issues and are probably limited in how they can communicate with “former” players during the lockout.

With CW/WKYT hindered by their contract, my money’s on WTVQ (does the Bengals preseason games sometimes) or CN|2 if anyone.

There’s so much potential here if it’s marketed right.

Use IHIGH – then everyone with a computer could watch it – don’t know about selling any ads though — or announcers.

18 – where in PA are you moving? I’ve been marooned north of Philly for 15 years now, and I hate it more each day. Nothing quite like seeing that UK will be televised, and then getting the crappy regional Big East game instead.
