Do not try to speak Swahili to Julius Peppers

We take a break from giving you University of Kentucky basketball, football, and recruiting news in the most ridiculous manner possible, to give you news of University of North Carolina academics being as ridiculous as possible.

UNC released the academic transcript of Julius Peppers today, and unlike the infamous Eric Bledsoe transcript leak in the summer of 2010, the Chapel Hill-based university didn’t need the help of Richard Pitino to get it out to the public. No, for some unfathomable reason, UNC released Peppers’ transcript to the worldwide web on its own, possibly by accident.

Have a look…

UNC has since removed the transcript from its website, where it was originally posted as a “test,” “generic” and “made-up” student transcript. But there are far too many similarities in previous reports of Peppers’ classwork, and his name at the top of the page, to play this one off as coincidental.

I can’t say anything bad about those Ds in Stagecraft and Kiswahili; those are two tough classes. I mean, hayo mbili ngumu madarasa.

Does that say he got an F- in algebra? That takes talent to get a score worse than an F.

And yet all we continue to hear is that the NCAA wasn’t interested in looking back before 2007 or in looking at the basketball team.

How many members of their titles teams were enrolled in bogus classes? How can the academic side of the university ever hold its head up high if the athletic side continues to skate on these abuses?

And people (unjustly) accuse our athletes of not going to class… At least our classes exist. Maybe Brandon Knight didn’t take Advanced Thermodynamics, but I bet he didn’t take Independent Studies on what it means to be black 3 or 4 times.

No doubt better than Barack Obama’s transcript

If the NCAA chooses not to investigate the academic situation for athletes at UNC, then you cannot broadcast selective enforcement any louder. NCAA is a joke! If this happened at UK, then NCAA would already be digging through the file cabinets.

almost feel bad for him. he obviously wasnt ready for real (basic) college classes. but then you see all those Bs in afro-african american classes & know that those are the classes the university was making up & signing off for athletes……

This post is in poor taste. I know it’s UNC’s fault, and it’s already out there, but it’s still his personal information, and we don’t need to continue to spread it. If someone did this with a UK player’s transcript, y’all would be up in arms.

All I have to say is that a lot of transcripts look better than Mr. Pepper’s and Mr. Bledsoe’s. Also, a lot of people worked harder than both of those student athlete’s in the classroom. Having said that, those two men worked harder than a vast majority of people in the area they were gifted and were able to become professionals. To me it doesn’t matter how they did in school. They worked as hard, or harder, than everyone else did, just differently.

2- it’s been reported and verified 7 players from roy’s first title team were majoring in the field where classes had grades switched, no tests & no class time required.

There is no proof that Richard Pitino leaked Bledsoe’s transcript just like there is no proof that Calipari is a cheater.

    Both are true, though.

I think a persons transcripts being show on line is soooo wrong in a lot of ways. Whomever said that if it happened to a UofK player we would be up in arms is totally correct.

For those ignorant fans who don’t know anything about going to college there are plenty of Black and African American courses you can even get a minor, if you know what that means, for it and I almost got one when I went to UK. And for the racist ignorant fans there is a need for it and it’s important and if some of you would get to know about it you wouldn’t be so racist.

No African study’s are racist by theirself. Thier is no such thing as a African American only Americans. This type of racism is the problem in this country no matter which race it’s coming from. This is exactly the type of thing MLK gave his life to prevent. I might be BLACK, but I’m still a American not a African American my parents didn’t come over on no damn ship.

You have to be pretty dumb to be black and get a D in Black Experience. If anyone thinks this transcript is normal then you too are an idiot. All those AFAM courses are bogus. So the question is, just how long has UNC been putting athletes in to these bogus courses especially all the independent study courses.

Then there’s the issue of his 1.8 GPA. I’d say he’s academically ineligible wouldn’t you? So is the NCAA going to do the right thing and forfeit all wins that he participated in?

Is the class/course “White Experience” also taught on UNC’s campus? At UK either? Honest question. Just curious to know. Never knew a course such as the “Black Experience” could be taught at a public university. Kinda disturbing. No wonder this nation, in the 21st century, is still so racially divided at times.
