Over the past few weeks, we’ve come to know 2009 wing Terrence Boyd off the court through Facebook status updates that were pro-UK and telling the haters that it was “ova”, Spanglish and anti-UK and proclaiming that he was the toilet, flushing down the s–t (DeAndre Liggins). But, have we taken the time to get to know Terrence Boyd, the basketball player? Well, a little, but not much.
Boyd, the 50th ranked player in Rivals’ class of 2009, is a powerful wing player who does the most damage as a slasher or finisher inside. And, although he’s made quite the living playing second or third fiddle after spending his sophomore year at Oak Hill with Brandon Jennings, Alex Legion and Nolan Smith, his junior year with Xavier Henry and Daniel Orton on the AAU circuit and now as a senior in San Diego with 2010 top big man and U of L commit Jeremy Tyler, The Toilet still has some serious skills. He reminds me of a Ron Artest a bit with the way he uses craftiness to finish around the rim and the way….
