It’s been a tough day for anyone who enjoys sports. LeBron James, best known for being a guest of Kentucky Basketball this past season, has single handedly dominated the sports discussion today, not to mention every day since the draft. Still, even if people aren’t talking about it, news is still happening out there. Reported from the Mile High Report, the Denver Broncos waived Dicky Lyons Jr on Tuesday.
Ever since his South Carolina injury his senior year, Lyons has struggled to get back onto the field. At one point he signed with the Falcons – but was waived before the season, and has now completed a similar pattern with the Denver Broncos. But just like his performances at Kentucky, while Lyons was rarely a show stopper, he always found a way to get it done when he needed to. With that kind of attitude, there is still a chance he finds a way onto an NFL roster before he’s past his prime. And if not, I’m sure there is a spot as a recruiting officer in Operation Win waiting for him.
Go Cats. Go Lyons. No Brons.
