Dick Vitale’s All-Solid Gold Team, baby!

ESPN’s Dick Vitale announced his 2010 All-Solid Gold Team today and sources tell me he was yelling and getting on everyone’s nerves when he did so.  Like every other media outlet in America, Vitale put John Wall and Demarcus Cousins on his first-team.  However, Vitale mixed it up a bit and went against the majority with his Player of the Year award by giving it to our beloved John Wall over Ohio State’s Evan Turner.

Vitale’s All-Solid Gold First Team

John Wall, Kentucky
Jon Scheyer, Duke
Greivis Vasquez, Maryland
Scottie Reynolds, Villanova
Demarcus Cousins, Kentucky
Evan Turner, Ohio State
Wesley Johnson, Syracuse

Vitale’s All-Solid Gold Second Team

Greg Monroe, Georgetown
Luke Harangody, Notre Dame
James Anderson, Oklahoma State
Jimmer Fredette, BYU
Damion James, Texas
Cole Aldrich, Kansas
Sherron Collins, Kansas

Vitale’s Player of the Year: John Wall, Kentucky

Vitale’s Coach of the Year: Jim Boeheim

Quick question – Why Dicky V name seven players to each team?  This is basketball, Dick.  Not netball.

Go Cats.
